  1. Mine and others I know do the exact same thing. I attribute it to condensation.
  2. New BHQ sponsor. Gotta keep up boys. https://www.facebook.com/DRW-Performace-356910540985808/?fref=ts
  3. See if your RTV says "Note: Not recommended for parts in contact with gasoline." Most all do.
  4. It didn't run good when you bought it?
  5. I'm not so sure that when using the 4 wire converter box, you won't need a regulator. It says it is a rectifier for converting 12V Ac to 12V DC. Without the factory Banshee regulator on it will put out much more AC volts when rev'd. Where as the trail tech 5wire is advertised as a Rectifier/regulator. I'm just assuming and going from what I've read, though.
  6. Totally serious. Again, it's that kind of thinking that will take you places.
  7. Better check what jets are in it before you ride much (at all). If it was jetted for St Anthony, you'll be way lean at 120'
  8. Glad to hear you got it back up and running. And truly appreciate coming back on here with the fix. Welcome to BHQ! Shee-fast... If and when you get that old harness, I'd be curious as to what you find was exactly wrong with it, (And which wires). It's not uncommon for older wiring to have breaks inside the insulation.
  9. That would be because patience and persistence is rarely taught or instilled in our youth. I blame the video games and all that re-spawning. LOL
  10. For future reference on welding a puller to a crap flywheel, without an available welder. Find a independently owned small auto body repair shop, the smaller phone book ad the better. They will most likely throw a weld on something like that at a moments notice for free. I know I will.
  11. jlaits, Let me commend you on using what is readily available to you and thinking outside the box. That's a diminishing trait lately, it seems.
  12. Each link on a 520 chain is 5/8" long so about 6 links less than a stock 104. But buy a stock one and check, then cut. Which brings me to this http://metaltechproducts.com/Chain_Calculator.htm I posted this on FB, along with the math for a +16 and was basically laughed at. Is this not correct? Discuss
  13. I really meant the IDLE adjustment screws. One size, is one size, whatever carb or size that is available, ONE step up or down is one size.
  14. I've had my wife on a Banshee, Blaster, Yfz450 and finally settled on a Raptor 250. She couldn't get the hang of a 2 stroke, she liked the power of the 450 but thought it was heavy and HOT on the right foot (even with riding boots), again never got going fast and often enough to get the air moving. Settled on the 250 as it's light and has electric start, but it is very under powered for the bigger dunes.
  15. Got WHAT 2 days ago? ALL these pages and posts, and ALL those other threads you started and you've never put in new spark plugs?
  16. Out of curiosity, where did you find a new one for only $350?
  17. Yeah, the website I went too even showed one part number superseding the other.
  18. Smoking, staying out late, and running with the wrong crowd.
  19. You took it back to that shop and really have no idea what they did, huh?
  20. are the pistons in the right direction? w/ arrows pointing at the exhaust and windows facing intake. And once a plug is gas fouled, use new.
