Stock lights receive 12v DC or 12v AC current?
hoppedupandcutdown replied to a topic in Technical Info
The Banshee puts out AC voltage. The LED bar wired direct will turn off and on a bazillion times a second without a rectifier converting it to DC. Some light bars last for people, some do not. -

The Banshee has a 1 wire regulator, nothing close to a rectifier. -

They come with DC bulbs, they (the bulbs) don't care that the current feeding them is alternating. -

You can wire in your LED bar, some last, some do not. Best to use a rectifier, even better to do a dc conversion and run a battery. -

12V AC current, but use DC bulbs, and is tested with DC volt meter. NO RECTIFIER. -
"new" banshee revving high and hard to start
hoppedupandcutdown replied to wmbw's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It is VERY soft metal, a file will do the work in short time. Also be careful as the drill bit will want to just fly right through it. Put a broom stick or the like in the carb body so the drill bit doesn't damage the other side. -
Measuring chain wear

But yes, i agree, that is excessive. Might explain why some people run out of adjustment though. -

1.4625" actually for a 117 link chain. Same math as RU's Honda manual above. -
Measuring chain wear

That's what I've always done. But since I've found specs I'm curious, as the Banshee Clymer and Regina's website says double the wear limit for non-oring chain. At .0125" per link, that's 1 1/2" for a +4 swinger chain. I would hope those specs would be for chain failure not just sprocket wear. -
Measuring chain wear

I maintain too many quads to just replace chain all willy-nilly. So far, I'm going with 16 links pin to pin is 10" Wear limit is said to be 10.98" That's .06" wear max per pin The worst "looking" one measures 10.02" -
Does any one measure their 520 chain to keep track of wear for replacement before it lets go? I'm going to start, but in 5 manuals I've found 3 different wear limits.

Choke bowl on the left carb? Red arrow to "BB" that designates the choke bowl on most carbs

The WD in WD-40 literally stands for water displacement. Not that I've ever used anything but premix oil, but that sounds like a better idea to prevent flash rust.
