  1. Crap, I'm backwards. Sorry, screw in would indicate a bigger jet is needed, but a half turn out should be OK
  2. 1/2 a turn out on the air screw indicates you need a smaller pilot. Sorry. this is wrong info
  3. With ??? Might need to soak in some GOOD carb cleaner first. An ultrasonic cleaner would be ideal.
  4. Not uncommon to have the pilot passages in the carb bodies gunked up with varnish.
  5. And I run 280 and 25 w/ Toomeys and open box at 1500ft no problem. You're a little higher so you won't be leaner. Double check the mains, if it ran OK with the slides in backwards, they had to be 200's ish.
  6. Air Screw in richens, it is an air screw, it adds air, if it is best almost closed your pilot is to big. Remember to wait at least 30 seconds every time you turn the screw for the motor to normalize. don't turn more than 1/2 a turn at a time and do both the same.
  7. Fuck that Youtube video, line up the arrows like YAMAHA recommends.
  8. Lack of an airbox or broken clips on the right side of an airbox will facilitate creative routing to keep wires from melting.
  9. ???????? They're $9.73 each, everywhere OEM parts are sold.
  10. Why would you pull the motor out of the frame just to put on a cylinder base gasket?
  11. So this thread isn't going to conclude politely with a "Dang, learn something new every day"
  12. Are you using the factory sleeve that fit inside the bushings? OEM calls it a collar.
  13. What were you doing to make up for lateral play without the thickness of the dust covers?
  14. Mine does have that small valve, yes. Instead of me continually trying to convince most people here that it is in fact a recirculating system, go get one off your Banshee and suck on it.
  15. Sorry to say but it IS a recirculating system. The cap has a smaller spring/valve that allows the coolant to be drawn back in when the system cools and creates a vacuum.
  16. You can omit it completely and just run 1 hose from the neck down to the pipes like 90ish% of Bangshees
  17. Yes, that will work. Until it gets hot enough and purges coolant into the bottle and the rubber cap or hose will HAVE to give.
  18. If it still has the big boxes on top of the carbs, this is your idle screw
  19. It is possible that a TORS delete kit was installed, but not the idle screws. They require drilling and tapping the carb bodies. The original idle screws are located on the top of the TORS carb tops.
  20. I've used this for Yamaha part number info... http://www.roadstarraider.com/docs/ypnaeg.pdf
  21. The first pic, I can see good threads. Do you have a Banshee specific flywheel puller?
  22. ^^^That^^^ Or a small independently owned body shop. I do stuff like that all the time for people.
  23. No, it could very well be the stator itself. Harnesses burn alot on the right side of the airbox The black/white tracer wire is the kill wire to the CDI
