The guys on street outlaws use to do the quad races. Get on YouTube look up "midweststreetcars quad cash days" . Chief, Russ, big block chevelle and a few others from midwestsreetcars would organize it.

If your near okc, seal co has always helped us get odd/hard to find seals.

You make some great points sprinkler man, but at the same time as the raptor get faster and lighter so will the banshee. All I'm say in is its not like 2 stroke tech has found its limit and stopped .Also seems to be a ton of interest in clutch tuning. As long as we have builders who love the banshee, they'll keep getting faster.

I kinda disagree. If business people thought the banshee market was finished we wouldn't have servals and v force 4 reeds, or even sniper pipes lol. I know banshee prices are shit but apparently a few companies still trying to improve parts.

I would start by doing a leak down and compression test. That will let you know what kind of condition the engine is in. It will also keep you from chasing your tail if you have a air leak. Do a search if you don't know how. As a side note phat head racing makes individual heads for the banshee.

Looks like a great time and awesome place to ride. Hope to make it next year. Also, No doubt lsok is tiny compared to other areas but the turn out is great here and tons of racing from turd ass slow to dayyyuuummm.

Theshee is correct. A stock 700 is slow. Throw a few grand at them and they come alive.

I was thinking porting would affect compression too. Higher timings mean less time for compression to build, or is my thinking wrong?

Guys just remember Matt's from Cali so when the "drag racing" starts don't get mad if he shows up at the starting line in high heels and a mini skirt. He may be just a little "confused".

My experience : With a first gear launch on my 421 serval I had to run higher gearing and more paddle. 10 paddle extreme with a +6 arm it hooked very well. Almost never bogged. you didn't have to worry about wheelies as much once you launched. With a second gear launch I had to gear the bike down and run less paddle 9 hauler or padla brat worked good. The bike would bog or spin the tires a bit then wheelie very quickly and some times wheelie in 3rd and 4th. I believe it 60 ft was better leaving in first but I don't because I never had it at a track.

I run nitrous on my 700 raptor and The most annoying thing is the bottle running out. You can refill a small bottle with a large bottle, thats what i do at the dunes. I just dune race but if you want it to be consistent youll have to get a bottle heater,fuel/nitrous pressure gauges and a purge solenoid to keep consistent pressures. Another annoying thing is on the bottle my raptor needs more paddle/longer swingarm off the bottle its a turd lol.

Should've clarified. A leaking o ring on the clutch basket side of a banshee will allow coolant in the trans.

Pretty sure its just a banshee with some yfz fender jury rigged to the front.
