  1. Congrats to everyone, some very fast bikes.
  2. Just pulled the "light" springs from fast out of my 4mm cub and put in 6 stock springs. The "light" springs are way stiffer than stock. Gona try it tonight. 10 paddles extremes 8 over and 15 41 gearing it either goes forward or up but doesnt bog. I weigh 218lbs and leave in 2nd
  3. I know asked about a ten mil but around a 1000ft asl .118 and 55 pilots on my 4mm cub

    Very nice, that mph tells you the bike makes good power. Get it to come out of the hole faster and the et is gona drop a bit.

    Wouldnt change a thing until i made a few baseline passes at the track. Ive been on starting lines that are so sticky theyll pull your shoe off. On the street local guys use traction compounds or do a few burnouts to lay some rubber down. Also concrete or grooved concrete tracts up alil better than smooth pavement.

If you guys stay on topic people may actually learn something here, i know cam at redline does some really cool stuff with shearer inframes. i dont know what all he does but Making them longer, changing stinger length and diameter and so on. It all has a impact on how and why a engine acts a certain way. It would be great to hear how and why from a proven builder like redline.
  11. I really liked my +6 with a 421 serval and 9 paddle haulers or padla brats. Wheelied on demand and long enough to dune race with friends. If your stuck between a 4 or 6 have turbo chassis build ya a 5.
  12. once you get a limiter on the bike, How to you determine what rpm to launch at? should you launch at peak hp/tq ?
  13. I really liked the 9 paddle padla brats. They have great traction and were better to play on than 9 paddle haulers.
  14. Now that you gave us a ball park idea on gearing, what about paddle count. It seems like some faster 300 ft bikes run a lot of paddle and win the race in the first 60ft vs tryin to power around someone. what ive seen with fast smaller motors is "too much paddle" lots of rpm and lower gearing . Just wanted to hear your thoughts.
  15. Your weight, ride height, and where u sit will all affect the outcome.
  16. Just try it. I personaly think it will go up faster than forward.
  17. Just to be clear on the raking, im not gonna stand there and smooth it every pass. When the ruts get deep ill fill em in some. Hope to meet new people this year and maybe get a lesson on alky tuning from somebody.
  18. Also I'd love to see some 400ft races. We were at ls mothers day weekend and some guys were running the longest I've seen out there but the sand was very smooth that last 100 to 150 ft can be a game changer.
  19. I don't have have anything worthy of track racing, you guys on faster bikes dig ruts so deep the slower bikes high center. Happened to me last year. Then everyone starts further and further forward and you end up racing 100ft. Like I said I'll help do whatever I got some 300' tapes and maybe can get some cones, hell I'm just goin to have a good time and hopefully see some good racing.
