  1. what ignition? when my dyna took a crap you could block off one pipe and the other would start running and vice versa.
  2. i ran a stock one on mine also, never had a problem
  3. what do you mean by itll shut off on me?
  4. i was gona go the same route, forged crankworks. then i called them and they told me they no longer sell them because of failures. i know sprinklerman hasnt had any problems with his. the tdr forged one sounds like a good option too.
  5. crank works no longer sells a forged 10mm due to the amount of failures they were having (info from joe at crankworks). the billet one they sell has a larger center pin, 30mm vs 25 and i believe hot rods rods. tdr has a forged 10mm with 10 ball japanese bearings all the way down it and hot rod rods with a 25mm center pin. he also sells the crankworks one. just passing the info.
  6. this is what i used. youll be scratching your head wondering if you cut too much out of the harness when your done.
  7. because for years people have been sitting banshees up to spin off the line to avoid a bog. clutch tuning and bigger motors will likley change that imo
  8. you own the panty sniffer or whatever ya call it?
  9. lol, you got us all figured out. we get in a circle jerk at the rally and bash 4 strokes. you would be shocked at how little shit is talked at the rally. nobody cares what you ride or race, we all get together to race, ride and hangout. i bet half of us or better own a 4 stroke. if a good time scares you then stay home!
  10. there is way too many hurt feelings on both sides. that is a really fast raptor but im sure he has chased plenty of banshees. its cool to see some fast 4 strokes, lot better than watching the same thing over and over again.
  11. http://www.tavia.com/free_degree_wheel.html
  12. you can get a printable degree wheel from www.tavia.com. glue it to a old cd and you have a cheap degree wheel.
  13. as you already know a properly ported 4 mil is the best route. a spacer raises the cylinder giving some duration numbers that are on the high side and also the piston drops well below the openings of both the exhaust and transfers. your already adding 2 mm of down stroke with a 4mm crank , then raising the cylinder 2mm which is going to put the port floors 4mm above the piston at bottom dead center. if your not goin to do it correctly leave it alone and focus on the other areas mentioned.
  14. Is TheRe Much Diffence In The Skat Trak And Molded Paddles For Kids. I Bought My Son A Raptor 50 And Swapped A Champ 100 Motor In It Because The 50 Sucked. He Wants PaddleS now.
  15. it seems that hjr has let several down lately, it sucks because he used to have a good reputation and has built some badass engines in the past.
  16. f.a.s.t. racing for me. wouldn't hesitate to use redline or wildcard either.
  17. much better tire than what you were using. my brother inlaw uses the same tire.
  18. if I were you I would skip to something big like a 10 or larger dm. no point in spending money several times only to take baby steps. I bought my 4 cub to learn alky tuning. if I burn it down or break it parts are cheap. after Im comfortable with my tuning im building something much bigger.
  19. you beat a lot of cubs due to chassis imo.
  20. 520cc 10mm supercub is the biggest ive actually seen being ridden in the dunes. he rode it all over the dunes. it wasn't a "drag" bike more of a extreme duner type build, had a lock up but not a override, extended a arms, +6 swing arm nice shocks etc. I know its not huge but it isn't a small motor either. I don't know about reliability or build cost.
