  1. They finally opened up the reservations for this summer. I'll probably grab site 36. http://www.boxcarhillcampground.com/
  2. Think you're right. Looked at two other no links and the shock is mounted like you're saying.
  3. Think most of the xc and dessert racing outlaws had the no link and the mx ones used the cr500 style dog bone.
  4. Is this your serval you're talking about? between my gearing and +4 it's definetely not a good drag setup. But I could give 2 and sometimes 3 shits about drag racing.
  5. 22x11x8 9 extremes. Think some 10 paddles are in my future. Was worried about keeping the front down when I got the 9s
  6. Thanks bud. Gonna be out for a while. Tearing down to service shocks, pivot bearings, and weld in my battery box. When I get it back together let's go rip.
  7. Don't know anything about them. Hate to cut corners on something this critical.
  8. I was looking at their ebay store. Do those billet aluminum hubs hold up?

    JJ&A

You have to question it when it could end your moto, day at the dunes or life. I appreciate the input guys.

    JJ&A

It's for my duner. I have 40-60' jumps on my play track at my place that I ride regularly. I'm in the market for an axle and couldn't find anything about JJ&A from the mx guys. Everything is all drags and hillshooters.

    JJ&A

Those hillclimbs look like the uphill at Washougal MX with 1-3 small step ups. If that bends those axles than I probably have no business running one. Talked to Jeff at JJ and he recommended I go with a durablue or LSR. Just thought it would be nice to drop 10-12 pounds.
  12. X2 on the hell yeah for honesty. He said he would have no issue replacing them if I still decided to try it out. I asked him if he personally would hit a 40' gapper with his play axle and he said No, I'd run a durablue or LSR if I was going to do that.
  13. Talked with Jeff and he advised me NOT to buy his axle. Guess that answers that question.

    JJ&A

What happened to cause these two different failures?
  15. Yeah, I've seen some of the hillclimb stuff you have on youtube. I'm about 235 and routinely hit 40-60' jumps at the sand and on the track. I've never seen a JJ&A axle on anything at the MX. Even if they replace it no questions asked, I don't want to go down this road if it going to be an ongoing problem. Was going to go with the full LSR pro setup but it's hard to look away from a 10-12 pound weight loss.
  16. True, I would just probably take down my stocker and all the hardware as a spare. The other issue is the safety concern of having an axle failure. Can't find much other than drag and hillshooter reviews for these things on the web.
  17. I've heard the same thing about the warranty. It doesn't help much when you're stuck out in the dunes or shut down for the weekend cause your axle is bent. Don't see them on many bikes that get all fours off the ground. Cost wise they are comparable to an LSR if you get the axle and all the billet hubs and hardware.
  18. I still have an OEM axle on my duner. It requires a constant wd-40 shellac to keep from rusting and I think it's time to upgrade. Ive been looking at different options mainly LSR, Durablue, and JJ&A. My question is how durable are the JJ&A play axles? I see them all the time on the drag bikes and I know those guys love them for the weight savings. I jump a lot and ride pretty aggressive and haven't heard much about them in this sort of application. Anyone have any experience?
  19. Yeah, no link +2 with axis rear and no front shocks. Only pic I've seen wasn't very clear.
  20. Sucking in a bunch of rhinestones could really put a crimp in your style.
  21. Are you the guy in AZ I was talking to about this frame on FB?
