  1. My kill switch is no good in mine. I need a replacement.
  2. Full flight +3+1 a arms. +4 swing arm. Stock yfz 450's on the front and a heavy spring rebuilt pep shock on the rear. Right now there are 21's on the front and 20's on the rear. I will be switching to 22's in the rear when I get to that point.
  3. I friend at a body shop painted it. I think its a industrial machine paint. I think its called northstar something
  4. Hardware store eah, I've never seen them at ACE but then again I wasn't looking.
  5. I have a good set of yfz 450s fronts installed and I just bought a rear used PEP rebuild with a heavier spring from a board member. It showed up today and I put it in and took a measurement in the rear and I had 29 when I pulled it all the way up. It sagged one inch. When I sat on it I had 23. Too much. I cranked the spring down to the max and I ended up with 29" and 25" better but I was shooting for only 3 to 3/12 of travel. When I jumped up and down on the bike with my body weight (225 pds) just the rear was traveling, the front didn't budge. The fronts were already cranked down to max spring tension. I brought them back about 7/8" from the top of the treads or about 1/4 cranked down. At that point the normal sag is about 5". I get about 1" of travel from a relaxed stance to me sitting on it. I get just a little bit of travel in the front suspension but not much. It doesn't seem balanced to me. Any comments?
  6. Who has new zerks? I have two that won't take grease on the shock support.
  7. There are a ton of warrior lights on ebay but the connector is different. I don't want to start cutting up my harness. So I'm looking for a set of direct plug in head lights.
  8. The rear end is close to being done. Waiting on the rear sprocket and the hub extenders.
  9. So I get my supposed +4 durablue axle today. Its the same length as the stock. Now I'm irritated. So I pulled the stock unit off. The bearing was seized onto the shaft. The whole thing was rusty as hell on the inside. Was a pain to get apart without wrecking it. I cleaned it all up. I'm just going to get those 3 1/2 hub extenders and be done with it. No good deals on extended axles right now.
  10. I shouldn't have any overheating problems with an over sized radiator right? I did all the other coolant upgrades. My buddies stock 92 had problems with overheating. He slapped a cheap ebay over sized radiator on it and then it was fine. I should be good for riding in 100 degrees or more with the upgrades that I made I would hope.
  11. That is a good idea. I'm going to set it up that way. Catch the problem before it gets real bad quick.
  12. I suppose its really not needed. Just run a hose off the nipple down the frame a bit and be done with it. I don't have the stock air box anyway.
  13. Anyone have a pic of this. I bought the machine without one. I still have to buy a replacement. I looked on a Yamaha parts fiche but I could not find the coolant bottle anywhere. I have a 93 frame, so did they run them those years?
  14. Its always nice to see adults fight about whatever. I thought this thread was a discussion between PJ and PWK
  15. Waiting on the +4 axle. This is ready to go. <a href="http://s1060.beta.photobucket.com/user/turbowrenchhead/media/carrier_zps5373f88d.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t460/turbowrenchhead/carrier_zps5373f88d.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo carrier_zps5373f88d.jpg"/></a>
  16. I can pop the 20cc's back in at anytime. I'm more comfortable getting it tuned on a lower compression for now anyway. I got it fired up today and its running pretty good. I still have no chain on it so I can't ride it. I still have to do a number of things before I can take a for a spin.
  17. I got it to hold 7psi now on the leak test. Started her up and no more rpm runaway. The idle is constant now. Big improvement. I ran it three heat cycles again. I just got my 05 rear carrier today. So I will be installing new bearings and seals and painting it black to match the swing arm. I'm still waiting on my +4 axle. It should of been here by now.
  18. I was planning on the six pack rack. When you way back in the woods and use most of your fuel, your only option is what they have at the pump. I've been there before. I don't want to set it up for just 93 octane and then have no choice but to put a lower octane in it. If I give up a little power then so what. Its going to be way faster then my built blaster.
  19. Yeah, the same one that I use to do a leak down test. Its a universal freeze plug for auto's. This is how the blaster engine builder tests the psi and says 160psi blocked is a good psi to be at for pump gas.
  20. I've ran into some real rural places that you don't have that option and your happy to have found 87.
