I remember seeing that one of the vendors was selling it for around $35. I have looked but I can't find it again. Anyone remember?

I have a chance to do some WOT throttle runs and do a plug chop in two weeks. Right now I have a 2-1 on it with a 35pwk with 60 pilot 170 main and a EEG needle on the leanest clip. (see sig for mods, I'm running the 20cc domes) I rode it for one hour out on the lake and all it did was spin when it hit the power band. I pulled the head when my clutch basket blew up and took a pic of the piston tops. One cylinder looks great but the other one is too rich. I am going to get the dual carbs setup and try to tune them separately. I looked through a old post jet form on what everyone runs for pilot's and mains. I wrote down a bunch and tried to come up with a good starting point. Pilots range from 25-42. Mains from 290-380 One machine that was similar in mods and sea level was running a 27.5 pilots and 380 mains. That seems huge to me. However there wasn't a line for needle size. I believe that mikuni rates their needle's differently and I'm not familiar with those yet. I have only worked with Keihin's so far. I would like to know what is a stock needle size and what would be richer? I'm trying to gather up a good needle and main selection before I go to tune. I don't get the opportunity often so I must make good use of the time. I have a trip planned with the guys in May in upper Wisconsin. They are not going to stick around and wait for me to tune up my machine. I'd like to have it ready to rip when I get there. Pic of my rough cut port job.

Yeah, you don't want to do that. I would say it needs to be at least 1/8 wide. Chime in if I'm wrong

I've got a 16 tooth on it for now. I will be bringing smaller front sprockets for the trip. -

We have a guide set up for the Gilbert area. He says there is alot of variation in trail difficulty. The second half of the trip we are going to Ashland atv resort and there seems to be alot of atv traffic there as well. I have made all the coolant system upgrades to keep from overheating. -

I got the 22's for the rear. I will have to get a 13 or 14 tooth front sproket for the trip. -
I think I know why it went. The kick idle gear was missing the c clip. I think the idle gear cocked and then put tension on the basket. I can see teeth marks in the basket gear from the idle gear. I know I installed the c clip but I didn't find it in the debris. I ordered a new idle gear, washers and clip.

nope, decided against it since no one thinks they are usefull -
After I got new tires on it and went for a street run the basket blew. The old bald tires just started spinning. The backing plate and the gasket are junk as well. I went on ebay and there are several choices out there. No brand name. 2-3 weeks wait http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-YAMAHA-BANSHEE-YFZ350-CLUTCH-BASKET-Year87-06-/140893565241?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20cde93139&vxp=mtr Wiseco, unsure of what else I would need. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wiseco-Clutch-Basket-Yamaha-350-Banshee-FITS-1987-2006-Banshee350-350-Banshee-/320858093554?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab4a1f7f2&vxp=mtr Barnett, does it come with cushions and backing plate? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barnett-Billet-Clutch-Basket-321-90-01006-Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-87-06-/180958777210?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a21fbcf7a&vxp=mtr Used vortex ready to bolt on. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-YFZ-350-BANSHEE-VORTEX-CLUTCH-BASKET-MINT-FREE-DOMESTIC-SHIPPING-/380577804380?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item589c34705c&vxp=mtr I'm leaning toward the Vortex one due to the fact that I know its complete and I don't have to buy another backing plate, gaskets or cushions. The Wiseco and Barnett I think I might need extra parts.

I think I will still put a body skid and a rear skid on it. Its too much of a pain to custom make ones for the arms. -

The trails there have several grades of difficulty, I'm sure the banshee will be find for riding. -

I would think that they would help with getting across deeper puddles. Plus the west virgina trails are suppose to be brutal. I want to be prepared when I go riding there. -

For large puddles. -
Not true in my case. I ported my own cylinders to save $. I already have all the port tooling that I need to get it done. I shop around on every single part that I need and find the best deal out there. I have to be careful of how much I spend.

Second that. This is the most egotistical forum I have seen so far.
