  1. I found the problem. My regulator came un plugged when I replaced the stator.
  2. I got my internals switched over today. I let the yamaha bond set for a few hours and re tested. Holds 7 psi for several minutes now. Just gotta get it back in the bike and go make some plug chop runs. I'm thinking that I probably start with 360 mains. After 370 I got a bog before the power band.
  3. I found the problem. The voltage reg came un plugged when I replaced the stator.
  4. I found a decent set of cases for $140 locally. I'm in process of swapping it all over. Hopefully all goes well before our May 30th guys atv trip to northern wis
  5. Define minor whack. Text me some pics to my cell please 414-418-8550
  6. If anyone has a good deal on a lower case have let me know. Call or text me at 414-418-8550 since I"m starting to run short on time and options.
  7. Wow, testing worked! Its been a week since I have been able to respond to thread. The panda cloud malware promt keep coming up with every click and I couldn't post anything. Now I get a generic web version but I'm able to post. What is up with Banshee HQ???? I pulled the motor and got it on the bench. I pressurized the case and sprayed it down with soap. I got bubbles in the front section of the case half. I pulled the bottom half off and I found some inconsistencies in the sealing surfaces. I either have to true the case half or have a little welding and repair or buy another case half. I'm glad that I found the leak though. Its 2 1/2 before our up north guys ATV trip. I'm not going to have it completely how I want the bike to be but it will be trail worthy. I'd like to get the IMS 4.0 gallon tank on it. The body skid plate, PMR rear heal guards and nice looking black plastics.
  8. I've been checking plugs constantly. The overall plug that I keep in it looks great. I've done several plug chops now. I started at 320 and keep on going richer size by size. I'm still lean with 390's in it. I did a mid throttle plug chop and it looks a tad to rich. So I move the clips on the needles one slot leaner. Haven't got back out to check the needle change yet. I ported my own stuff for two reasons. First is the price tag of porting. I'm on a budget. Second, I can say I did all the work myself and it not be an exaggeration. Great thing about banshees is how fast you can have the motor out. Gotta love it.
  9. I also notice that when you first start out in 1st gear and punch it the bike will sputter a few times, but when the powerband comes on then it runs great and pulls hard.
  10. I ran another leakdown test after a run to the local hardware store for two fittings to go into the carb boots. I pump it up to 7 pounds and it starts loosing pressure steadily. Takes about 2 mins for it to wind down to 1 pound then it holds. I sprayed everything down with soap/water and I've got nothing. I pulled the stator cover off to change out the stator and I sprayed down the case side and seal and no bubbles. Next I'll have to pull the clutch side and spray that down. I'll probably have to pull the motor and reseal the case in the end. Sigh..........
  11. Yeah the stock voltage regulator is on the bike. The lights worked fine with stock stator, regulator and headlights.
  12. There is an extra white wire coming out of the new stator that doesn't go anywhere on my harness. Could that have something to do with it?
  13. Where do I get the 55 watt ones? Any recommendations for voltage regulator?
  14. I replaced my 26 yr old stator with a race tech electric one. I started the bike up and revved it with the lights on. They blew out. What now?
  15. Does the upgraded stator require different head light bulbs? I revved up the bike and the lights burnt out.

  18. You are best starting with a plug chop run to determine if you need to jet at all. Get the bike warmed up. Replace your plugs with two new ones. Run the bike a 1/4 mile wide open in every gear. Turn around and run it wide open back to your station and shut the bike off while it is wide open and coast back. Pull the plugs and cut the threads off to expose the porcelain. If the ring on the bottom is grey your lean, if it is black your rich. If its is a chocolate brown your good.
  19. Read this article to answer your questions. http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html If you want jets cheap find a local snowmobile shop or atv shop and call and ask if they have mikuni small hex jets. I found a couple places that sold them for $2 each. The ones that they didn't have I ordered off of ebay but they run about $6 each after shipping. This seller has them all: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150609490437?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
