  10. Thankxs for the info. Question, if you clip a tz bearing it will limit movement toward the clutch but could still move toward the stator, right?
  11. Here's the deal, I tore down my engine tonight that I have been drag racing for two years. Time to go bigger, a 4 mil. Much to my suprise I didn't find a single clip on any of the crank bearings and this is puzzling me. I know hotrods have o-rings on inner bearings and that the tz bearing I bought from crank works is o-ringed for the clutch side. I have a maxload 11 ball installed on the stator side so no line up pin. My question is do I have to use a clip or can I just use o-rings all the way across. I would not have even questioned it had I not found my engine to have no clips. Do the cases clamp the bearings tight enough to hold them and that is why it worked in my old engine? I know nothing about the old engine, it was in the shee when I bought it. Any help would be very appreciated. If I have to have the clips does anyone have some they would sell me?
  12. Up for sale is a stock stroke stock rod beleive it is hotrods crank. It has been rebuilt at some point in time. inner bearings are not o-ringed, rods are mis matched, there is a ding on one part of the webbing that can be seen in pics. Alignment pin on inner bearing is worn/bent. Both clutch and stator side bearings are 8 ball bearings. Rods don't seem to have any up and down movement and I am still new to banshees and dont know how much side to side is normal but I would say it is minimal. This crank came in my shee and I am going 4mil now so I dont need it any more. Ran great and did not seem to have any weird vibrations. asking $100 shipped in the U.S. would trade for front wheels with good tires or tie rods and ends+ $50 http://s1353.photobucket.com/albums/q674/KennyRhea/Stock%20stroke%20crank/
  13. Sorry forgot to mention that they are at 65.5mm bore i belive that is .080 over. Is that correct?
  14. I bought these cylinders from a member here about 4 months ago and have no intention of using them. They have no port work other than intake might have been touched up very little. I am still learning banshees but feel like the cylinders would be fine to run with a lite hone job, however they may have to be bored. That being said I gave $100 for them and would let them go for $80 shipped. Would also trade for front wheels and or tie rods with ends. If just for tie rods with ends I would need about $40 dollars to go with it. http://s1353.photobucket.com/albums/q674/KennyRhea/
  15. Thanks I will send payment when I get home you should have it by 7 pm
  16. Interested in complete axle sent you PM.
  17. Thanks to all who have looked and or replied. My brothers transsmission on his truck broke down so this project is going on hold for now. Again thanks to all.
  18. I am starting to build a banshee for my brother. Anyone have a bunch of bolts engine brackets a arm and swing arm bolts seals sleeves etc. that they need to unload? I want to get to a rolling chassis first. I have the frame a-arms swingarm steering stem front spindles front shocks and rear hubs so far. mostly interested in bolts and seals for a-arms and swing arm but please lmk what you have that you could part with Thanks
  19. Sounds like a fine idea to me, and he might have said transfers and meant cylinder psi was to high for gas.
  20. Thanks Possum that is what I was looking for. I know it wont be as fast with out alky and I will probably run it that way someday just not right now. I am going to have domes custom cut and I know a builder in Odessa who told me the same thing you did and he is going to help me put the motor together and check port timing, duration and decide how to have the domes cut.
  21. I have seen the cylinders in action, I darg race with him and he runs 4.20's on alky 300 FT in sand and they are pretty fresh cylinders. I can't figure any way it would matter what fuel your burning as long as squish, jetting, dome size etc. are done accordingly.
  22. I recently bought a set 4 mil stock cylinders that were ported for use with alky. I want to switch them to gas and was told that the transfers were to high to run gas. Is this possible? If so please tell me why. I dont have any specs on them yet and am very new to Banshees. I know on our cars that we can run gas or alky with out any difference in head work so I am confused. My thinking is they could be lowered by using thinner base gaskets if needed. Any help will be appreciated.
