  1. It looks pretty similar, but I really wonder. To the OP, I have a 485pv motor setup by Wildcard Racing and it's a great "all around" motor. Boatloads of low to mid range, and topend that still can make your asshole pucker up. Not a fan of the $300.00+ pistons it requires.
  2. 25k huh? No shit. If I was gonna drop that kind of money, it better do some work for me. I'd get one of those Polaris Brutus things with heated/AC cab and PTO's and what not.
  3. Titanium isn't that much of a pain to weld. I've welded plenty of ti. Long pre and post flow times, plus trailing gas nozzle and maybe a backing gas if needed. All that trailing gas and back gas shit prolly won't even be needed if all your doing is welding the crank wheels to the rod pins or whatever. Use a big gas lens like a #8 and lots of post flow time.
  4. What Innovate setup did you use? I've had luck with the LM-2's, but that's a "meter/data logger", not a guage. Maybe the gauges suck? Also, I have nothing bad at all to say about the AEM uego's.
  5. ATTN DIY'ERS: DON'T DIY I use to run a fab department at a local shop that built turbo import cars and junk. We spent a lot of time fixing do it your selfers' attempts at building cars. Some of the shit that came through the door was fucking rediculous. I remember a kid came in with a civic with a eBay turbo kit on it. I asked him what he was using for engine management, he pointed to the pile of shit manual boost controller that came with the garbage can turbo kit... Awesome! This thread reminds me of those days. But seriously, if you are trying to "save a buck", or whatever, at least fucking have some sort of clue, or be able to read a manual.
  6. I bought these a few weeks ago hoping to use them on a 10DM. I spoke with a couple builders, and as it turns out, they will require WAY to much work to make that happen. Specs: -102mm spread -Small bearing (62mm) -Deck height is stock, I believe. If someone with more knowledge knows otherwise, let me know. -Trenched for 18mm -Top case has been setup for Twister cylinders, and expoxy has been used, as seen in the photos. -Stator side of top case also has epoxy near the top where the cylinders sit in the case (see photo) -MOST of the hardware is included which hold the two halves together from the underside of the case, cylinder side. -Hardware IS needed for the transmission side. These could be a deal for someone, they could be made to work with other cylinders, but a FUCK of alot of welding would have to be done. I was going to remove the epoxy and weld them back up myself, but the post machining time would be a killer, at that point I might as well buy new cases. Price: $925.00, shipped. Pics: Price: $925.00 shipped
  7. Bump for a good seller and a hard running motor! Ps: if ya wanna sell the pistons, let me know.
  8. OMFG! The 5s was just released. Biometric security, a better camera and a A7 64bit processor. And that's it pretty much.
  9. I put on a master cylinder from a 08 yfz or an 08 Raptor, I don't remember. I did notice slightly better brake performance, but nothing to write home about. This was with stock banshee calipers.
  10. Here in western ny: diesel prices from $3.99-4.27 91 non ethanol $4.17-4.59 C12 $9.99
  11. I'd like to have a spare set, honestly, $295 doesn't seem that bad. Doesn't Trinty sell these for like ~$200/each?
  12. New York is similar to this. I had to take a pic if the vin, then the DMV gave me some form to take to the police, and they had to "verify" the vin. A bit of a pain in the ass, but it ended up working out fine and cost like $25 plus tax.
  13. What size carbs, domes, what pipes, porting? For what it's worth, i have the same motor, I'm running 20cc domes, pipes are Vito's fat bastard, carbs are 35pwks.
