i'm going to stick with pissing ppl off with my smaller motor. Gonna spend Saturday messing with timing and the lockup and the dunes. Try to get more out of it. I know there is more just not very patient and want it to run to its full potential already.
That's what I built my stock cylinder bike for but just ready to go faster. Nobody answered the question though. Will the cheetah set up properly out perform a 4 mil cub. Or would it be a close race?
My buddy is parting out his cheetah motor and I was thinking about buying it off of him but before I do I was wondering If fully drag ported on alky which one has more balls? I have a stock cyl now and I know I wouldn't be happy with a cub cause it beats most 4 mil cubs. If the cheetah makes considerable more power I was going to pick it up. The price on the cheetah is good, comes with the whole topend including, intakes and reeds. hes is also giving me the cases that have been bored out for those cylinders right around the same price as buying a cub. Anyways tell me what you think. This will be a drag only bike btw. 4mil 73 mm bore fyi
yep im talking about that one. Its not ported so I would send it to get ported and domes cut for it by a reputable builder. Just didn't know if The dm was as good a bang for the buck as the cub is.
Just a few Questions for some of you guys. Found a brand new 4 mil dm topend complete minus domes new in the box for 2 grand. Is that a reasonable price? Ive never priced them. 2nd ? is how much case work Is required on the 4 mil dm setups? or are they just bolt on? How comparable do these run against a 10 mil cub? If I buy I will obviously send to get ported and custom cut domes for alky. 1 more question. What size carbs, Pipes? and how much more money can I expect to dump into this after bulding the topend? If there is anything else I need to know feel free to share as I'm trying to learn here. Thanks for the help. Kyle
Well Cam, Leroy dumped another 4 loads of sand on the track. Everyone had to Use les tire even Leroy on his ridged chassis. I had to air mine up to 5 lbs and the more air the more it spun. I personally don't think I can pull your 14s anymore on the track.
no im still running a rear shaw on the strip.problem is well both. Kinda hard to explain it stands up half the time and bogs the other half. Cause I been playing with the throttle off the line.Even in the dune it can use a little more slipage
10 paddle ext, 73+ ro, +10 arm, stock lightened and extended chassis, +3 forward arms, bike makes 96 hp, 50lbs tq. I have 42 grams of weight on the lockup, running all stock springs with a f.a.s.t clutch. need to know anything else?
I'll make this quick... Have a 4 mil sc drag bike. The clutch wasn't slipping enough and it was bogging down to much. so I switched to all stock springs. At the dunes it does pretty good but I have to feather the clutch quite a bit. At the track it bogs to where,r I have to double clutch it. If I give it to much gas it just stands straight up (+10 swing). I know how to pilot btw. My question is how many coils do I need to cut off the springs to get it to slip a little more and how many springs should I start cutting on. Thanks
