It was hit passenger rear, bent rim, bent axle, fucked up plastics, broke exhaust popped exhaust springs. Threw me a good 30 ft. Kid was climbing a long ass hill with no spotter, cleared the top probably 3rd on the pipe and never let off. Hit me a good 50 yard from the crest of the hill. Took 4 guys to separate the bikes and another to help me back on. Worst part is him and his father ended up running and left me with a destroyed shee, a busted hip and a ruined vacation. Was the first full day of a 6 day vacation. People suck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about stator? Can it weaken on the top end even if resistance checks out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I cut and eliminated tors and parking brake. Years ago. Float height was set last ride, I suppose it wouldn't be bad to check again. My uncle has been building banshees for years said it acts like a rich condition and that's the basis of the jet changes. 3000 ft elevation change from last riding location, went down 2 jets. I have the new style CDI plug and a new stator to harness plug on the way. The stator plug melted the clip together from the accident. Wasn't shorting though. Pulled wire harness out and pin to pin everything. All wires check out and nothing shorting to another wire. Once I change/ fix plugs I'll be able to swap electrical components. I believe I should be closer to 120- 130 . I know it's time for a top end but it was like a light switch. I was t boned and then it ran like crap. Won't get on the pipe and bogs at top end. Runs amazing getting there. I'm still suspicious of a weak stator, was warming up checking heads with my hand and it shocked the hell out of me on the left jug. Stripped and repaired all the plug wires and caps. Have a whiteish spark on the left jug didn't check the right jug. The 300 mains were at about 6000 ft, it ran its best at 9000 ft with 280s but at the top end sounded almost like a revlimiter was kicking in. Just flat stopped pulling. Then it was like someone was turning a switch on off on off. Power no power Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Having top end issues. Bike starts great runs great sounds great. Has no top end feels like it just hits a wall and falls on its face. Was running amazing last year on 300 mains and 27.5 pilots needle on second clip from top. Running 6000-9000 ft typically. Replaced coil and plug wires. Played with jets from 290 all the way to 190 and never got better Carbs in sync, tors deleted, did leak down test and all good. What do I check from here? I know I have lower compression, 90L 92R. Resistance on stator checks out. Haven't had a chance to swap CDI yet it's a 96 all the other shees we have are 97up or pre 95 18cc domes on a cool head, +4 timing, toomey t5 pipes, boyseen dual stage reeds, k&n pods, welded and trued crank, NOT ported yet. Will be ported and a fresh top end this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got her to idle last night with 25 pilots, 1.5 turns on air screws. Just bought 27.5 pilots and 280 mains. 21 bucks for all four! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

I'm going to try to pick up a set of 27.5 pilots today. How do you test if pilot is ok? Cleaned the 25 and shee is actually idling now. So that's a good start! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

Need Help finding a starting point, Bike is running good at high rpms, wont idle bogs up to 1/4 throttle unloaded. Choke to start when it is warm, Don't have enough area right now to do a plug chop. From what I have read I have the wrong size pilot or plugged pilot jets, cleaning them now and they were dirty. 1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? Toomey T-5 2) What type of airfilter do you have?k&N Pods 3) Are you a)running a stock airbox with lid stock airbox with NO lid c) Stock airbox with vents d) no airbox at all 4) What is your elevation? 5280 5) What size pilot jets are you using? 25 (seems small I have 35s that aren't installed) 6) What size main jets are you using? 290 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? unsure first time jetting Frankenstein build shooting for 90 degrees or so 8) Do you have a port job? Stock porting (next mod) 9) What kind of carbs? Stock 10) What size carbs? Stock If it helps, I'm running a timing plate at +4, 18cc coolhead domes, stock bore, boyesen dual stage reeds, tors deleted, idle screws installed,
