carb size and brand recommendation
Empire Industries replied to ImSoBoard1's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
30mm CPW carbs work really well. Great response off bottom and will out flow stock carbs. Anything bigger will lose bottom end performance. -
Empire Industries is proud to announce our Banshee Hand coned big bore drag pipes These will work on anything from a 4mm DM up to a 24mm. These will also work on the Twister Cylinders. We have seen 8- 10 HP above some of the stamped pipes on the market. Dyno results will vary depending on your specific build, port heights, compression ratio etc. Pipes are $850. We are working on a hand coned small bore pipe that we will be testing in a few weeks.

Empire Industries New Big Bore Drag Pipes

Ride.Race.Love......You say that like it's a bad thing! Keep in mind the LED pipes that everyone was raving about, was my design! I did all the testing and all of the dyno research! SO yes while I owned White Knuckle I did a lot of testing and built many fast motors and designed a lot of products for the industry. Definitely nothing to be ashamed of !!!!! These pipes are much like the original WK pipes with a few changes @ about half the price of LED's. Dyno results will vary depending on the motor and within that, Will also depend on Port heights, compression ratio, intake and exhaust port size as well as carb size. I will post dyno results as I test on different motors! -

Empire Industries 48mm Cyclone Carbs
Empire Industries replied to Empire Industries's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I will try n get some dyno charts up over the next 2 weeks. When I had them on a 16mm DM a couple years ago they picked up over 12HP over a set of 41mm Mikuni. People are spending $1600 on pipes for 4 HP I would think they would spend $1100 for 12 HP ! -

$550 per carb. -
Empire Industries is Bringin Sexy Back. We are bringing back our Billet 44,46 and 48mm Cyclone Carbs. These carbs are currently set up for alcohol with dual inlets for use on spread bore motors or single inlets for use on standard spread motors. These accept mikuni needles and jets. Removable emulsion tube for better tuning capabilities. T style flat slide design with dual power jets make explosive power. They are sexier and lighter than before. We are working on our 4 stroke and gas applications. I will keep you informed as things progress.

Drill Main jet and emulsion tube to .118 Use 6FJ41 needle in 4th clip position. 35 to 45 pilot . Start big n work ur way down. Probably end up around 35 to get it crisp off the bottom. Power jets should be drilled to .092 . When making a pass ,start with the power jets wide open. After making a pass reach down and feel the side of the cylinder . It should be warm enough that you can put your hand on the cylinder for 3-4 seconds before pulling your hand off .It should not be as hot as a gas bike. If you can leave your hand on the cylinder longer than 4-5 seconds it's rich . Turn the power jets in 1/2 turn at a time until it builds some heat. Hope this helps
