-
If those are your only mods id say your a bit rich specially at that elevation! Did you do a plug chop?? I could be wrong but id say you should be around 280-310s and a 27.5 pilot
-

Dune/play port with boost ports, case port, staight cuts,22cc domes(157 each cyl.),pwk35s,+4 timing,6"pods,t5's,vforce3 I have been running this set up for a little while now.. i did not change anything when i tried the shearers other then a little jetting! Like i said before..im not claiming they wont work on your bike or that they are not a great pipe! Its just that my motor did not perform worth a shit with them, other then the top end!!! And no its not that they pulled soo much harder on the top end that it made the bottom and mid feel weak!!
-
i have a dune/play port!! i have t5s on it and it pulls very hard everywhere!! i just bought shearers thinking that it would pull even better!! well that was a 700.00 mistake!! sure the shearers pull harder on the big end.. but i lost so much bottom end and a big part of mid range!! i put the t5s back on!! i was not willing to sacrifice so much bottom and mid range for the better top end!! now im not saying that shearers are a bad pipe or that they wont work for you.. but they just did not agree with my set up or riding style!!
-
I had both t5s and trinity on my bike! They both perform pretty much the same.. No real noticeable difference that i could feel!! And they both sound pretty simular.. As far as witch pipe would perform better with porting im really not sure.. Got rid of the trinitys before i went with the 4mil dune port!

dune port banshee vs. stock yfz450 drag race
special06shee replied to willardwright59's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You my friend are straight talking out of your ass, I don't like going down this road but Im going for it. You can tell me you have owned every bike under the sun- I DONT CARE- Fact, you cant sleep on the new 450's bc they move out. I just recently sold my 08 YFZ450 which only had a few basic bolt on- DRD full exhaust- KN air filter- cam mod- zip tie mod and YZ needle, Cant come on here bullshitting or you just ride with a bunch of busta's. I abused piped and mild ported banshee with that YFZ- it was sorta beastly for what it was. And there are plenty of people on this site that can vouch for that. " A banshee with pipes and filter will beat any 450 made" Thats one ridiculous statement. Wish your DG piped shee was around my way- I would have gladly given you 2-3 bike lead and ruined your day. Maybe that would have changed you opinion on the new 450's Sorry, but your post it just ignorant. Joe not trying to start a pissin match here but.. ah fuck it i will! i also had a 08 yfz 450 with more or less the exact modds as you..(i had trinity exaust and a dyna tech rev box)! i raced tons of banshee, and yes beat alot of them!BUT it was not because the 450 was faster then them all! only reason i won was because i was a way better rider then the others, banshee could not hook up, or the banshees were COMPLETE SHIT TURDS!! regaurdless the 450 did win! now with the same 450.. alot of the same banshees that i beat on dirt, i then raced them on pavement.. and i got beat 95% of the time by piped banshee!! the fact is.. if the riders are somewhat equal, traction is not an issue..and BOTH machine are running up to par.. a 450 with those modds vs a banshee with pipes,pods,timing..the banshee will win most of the time!! now with port work(true porting not some redneck that used a finger nail file) the banshee wins ALL THE TIME!! -
are you hearing this noise while you are trying to accelerate or do you here the noise after your off the throttle?? if the noise is coming when you are starting to put it under a load my bet is jetting.. sounds lean on the needles.. raise the needle a clip or two! if the noise is when your off the throttle id say coolent gurgle!

Jet-Hot Coat on after market exhaust
special06shee replied to jilted's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
i had my headers on my camaro jet hot coated!! looks really good!! NOWHERE near the shine of chrome but still very nice!! jet hot also claims (i think) 3% hp grain by keeping the heat contained! i really notice inside the camaro the reduced heat from the headers! -

Just kick it like it stole something from you!!!

it depends to the grade of the hill and lenth of the hills..i ride coal hills witch are really loose, really steep, and really long!! when im stickly climbing for the day i run paddle tires..when i trail ride and play on the smaller hills i use mudlites! the mudlites work really well for me on trails and small to medium hills..but for steep loose hills paddles are the only way to fly!!

The bigger radius of the slide goes to the filter side!!

How much is a 2000 Mint Stock Banshee worth?
special06shee replied to 06bluebanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i just wanted to make it clear that by want i said in my previous post wasent misunderstood!! buying a completely stock bike might not be the best/cheapest route for most.. all i was really giving was my opinion!! i really like the fact of performing all of the alteration on my personal toys because then you really know what is what!! i also really enjoy creating the "mild to wild" effect!! but yes if you really dont care about doing the work yourself or enjoy turning the wrenches on your bike and would like to save cash.. well then it will be much cheaper if you buy one done!!(most of the time) -

How much is a 2000 Mint Stock Banshee worth?
special06shee replied to 06bluebanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
at the end of the day what makes a good deal really a good deal is as long as the buyer is happy with the price and the product!! who really cares what other think.. me personally would rather buy a MINT stock banshee for 3k vs a beat cub/serval/whatever for 3k.. besides building these bikes are as much fun as riding them!!! aside from the ass load of cash you have to drop!!lol -
2-1/4 id 6" long I run the angle

uni filters are a great filter!! i ride in the coal region witch gets real dusty!!! so dusty you cant see 10ft in front of you!! i found that for me uni filters are the only filter that keeps the shit out!! sure k&n's work good if your in front of the pack..but to anyone that thinks there are the best filter, come ride where i ride and follow 6-15 screaming banshees kicking up all the dust.. at the end of the day pull the k&n's off and take a peak inside your carbs.. you just might change your mind about K&N filters!!
-
most people on this site seem to really like k&n filters with outerwears..i never had good luck with them, i personally think they are absoultly scrap for dusty off road conditions! my slides were alway dirty after a ride when it was dusty.. switched to uni filters! so far so good!!

when i was running a "big dune port stock cyl." i had 20cc domes and had 155psi in both cylinder and had no promplem with 93 pump fuel! i also think you should give it a fresh top end.. 130 seems really low!
