what are you checking for ? the engine was probly idled and putted around a lot making any plug check useless.

ace hardware should have atleast 500 of those in stock im pretty sure of it

homedepot and maybe walmart has a spray can citrus type of paint remover that I felt worked nearly as well as the aircraft stuff but isn't nearly as toxic some bench grinders work good for final polishing but just don't have the power and bog down when the going gets tough

i said the dome fins resemble air cool head fins in appearance. never said air cool fins are useless. fins on a head dome in the waterjacket are useless. even if they were vertical/paralell with water flow direction instead of horizontal i still doubt they would be of any value. some where i have cad drawing of good water passage design but im on my phone and dont have acess

why couldnt it be held via the plug threads. ive seen some machinists get pretty creative with making their own fixtures

some did have fins like air cool cyl. others were steps like stairs but no matter which method they were worthless. from the looks of it chariot put more thought into his than what others are doing

FFS its knocking like a muther and the crank gear shouldn't turn freely by hand. what brand of pistons might be the least of things to worry about

zilla lets not kid ourselves. none of us around here has reinvented the wheel or anything even close but you can take good ideas from one engine and apply it to another. its true the rear portion of the cylinder does have some welding but the whole front half was completely cut out as well

im not sure you need a new basket or hub. depends how significant you say the grooves are. the clunk and creep arent something i would say is normal. reinspect everything to be sure its in good order or something may be out of adjustment. ive never tried the asv levers. do they have proper throw ?

just a fyi in case you care. ive got 66mm and 72mm pistons although not from banshee but it may be worth looking into the weight. anyways as you can imagine the 72 is heavier by 40gr. for reference a oem banshee wristpin is 48gr. so its almost like slinging around a extra wristpin
