this sounds somewhat plausible. im sure most of the heat is carried away via the water but there would be some radiant heat dissipated through the exterior of the cylinders but how much is the question. since theres no fins on the cylinders I would say theres not much heat shed through radiation. how much of a thermal insulator the PC is would be the other question. even if it was a great insulator, im doubting theres much heat dissipation through the cylinder exterior walls anyways. so I would guess the PC wont make a huge difference in engine temps but maybe im wrong

a lot of dirtbikes use the rubber pieces with internal threads, some exactly the same style as claudes, some are slightly different but same concept. the main thing that breaks down the rubber over time is when the pipe bracket is not parallel with the rubber isolater. one edge of the rubber is being compressed and the other edge is being pulled apart if that makes sense

devcon is expensive just to use a small amount and if the remainder isn't stored correctly it goes to shit. seems like shelf life is only 1 or 2yrs in factory sealed container so you can imagine after its been opened

iirc windows live movie maker can cut out all the nonsense and edit the gopro video to only the important stuff. if your computer has windows7 or above you should have it already installed im sure. been a while but it seems that's how I was doing it

these diferences are miniscule and could have several explanations why. bore diam and casting variances are two i can think off top of my head. oh and dont forget human error of the measurments

porosity happens when theres contamination in the puddle. likely those shops havent welded on old cylinders much. theres a different aproach than new material

hahaha u must not of seen my ktm or driveline cylinders. that little hole doesnt amount to a pimple on a horses ass. take longer to plug the machine in and turn on the gas

that could be welded easy. do it quick and dont pour a ton of heat to it any longer than necesarry or the casting pulls away from the sleeve and you risk warping the thin area of the gasket surface. between 5-10sec and it be good to go

your not mechanically inclined I take it. clean the area alittle with a dremel if you have one. if not no big deal. put piece of tape on back side of hole, mix alittle jb weld with screw driver or something and fill up the hole, done. local machine shop would probly weld it free if they already have their tig machined fired up
