  1. What do you figure current value would be on that bike if 5k was cheap?
  2. Mdr had something going awhile back or was that fast fibers stuff. Remember, it ws clear i think
  3. How close to 500cc do you need to get? Are aftermarket cylinders allowed or is it only factory. Give us all the requirements and expectations before dismissing the idea.
  4. Build a long strut to put in place of the rear shock in transport. The higher it sits the shorter it will be
  5. Was he not asking about a 68x68 engine in the very beginning? I would assume you could run a smaller cc in a larger class. Maybe not?
  6. So. On that style do you have to tip it over to assemble it on the engine?
  7. If your only chasing 80-90 hp you dont need a real big motor like you were asking about. You can get that from a 4mil no problem.
  8. Tricked i think you missed something. Driveline and shearer sell this style. They have some longer grooves and dont dtay together when unbolted http://drivelineperformance.com/yamaha-banshee-lock-up-clutch/ Gigot sells one with no long grooves but appear to bolt together for ease of assembly http://gigotracing.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=53 I asked this question a week or so ago with no replies. There is a minor price difference also. What i stated above is just from the pics i have seen. Ive never used either.
  9. 3 thoughts. Some dont like the lexan window and prefer all billet, others might want a lexan wp cover also. For the lightweight no wp no kicker maybe a completely plastic cover intead of billet?
  10. Drag bikes look best with hs painted glass.
  11. Jds key bracket bolts through rear tank to frame bolts under the seat. Wires reach perfect. You can keep you key and not cut up anything. Cheap as well.
  12. I agree that much stroke probably wont last at that rpm for that duration.i would think a 7mil super cub might work better
  13. what rod ratio do those 250 have? Pretty positve with the 125.3 rod recomended on a 68 cub your max safe rpm is not 10k. Probably 9 to 9.5 As far as trickeds comment of them shaking apart thats a bunch of bullshit. Maybe in a spaghetti frame with a bunch of flex they are popping epoxy. But mine ran 3 years of dune racing before i had to rebuild it and not due to case epoxy problems. I would try and contact brandon from what was wildcard racing. He has real world experience on the salt, he lives in utah, and was an engine builder. Hes not really doing it anymore but its worth a shot. What size tire you run? I want to run it through my calc to get primary, secondary and trans ideas.
  14. Pretty sure a 68 stroke cub uses a 10mil casting. Your other 2 statements are correct. I have one on my bench right now.
  15. That shifter looks short. Whats it from?
  16. It would be interesting to see those stats seperated into government, fleet, and personal sales. My guess is fords numbers are propped up by government fleet sales. Lots of agencies are going ford but its not due to quality. Its low bid gov contracts.
  17. Nice piece. Needs anodized so no need to polish.
  18. Do an install with pictures. Show us how easy it is to install. Might help sales
  19. Found some already. Thanks though
  20. Why would you not have him make an insert that drops into the stock location that just has a flat top. This way you could adapt any light or bar to them. They could just be square, with the through hole, locating nub, and a couple tapped holes on top. You could just drill the bracket that came with your lights.
  21. Gotta have that child seat in though. Thats what drops panties
  22. you have to realize the 650 needs to be spec'd for your application. Its almost a real truck they have 5 or 6 available hp ratings plus ? How many gear ratio and tire sizes. They are not all equal. That said buy a 2003-early 2007 dodge and be done. Fuck ford if its not a 7.3
  23. Im going with non matching primaries. Post pics of the gear numbers on both gears
  24. That cap has the same pressure against it as a fucking radiator hose. If its a vacum cap at least use the thick rubber one and not vinyl. Put a clamp on it problem solved.
  25. Yeah, I loaned em out and havent picked them up yet. I can grab them and ship this weekend if interested. Personally i think shipping anything this time of year is a bad idea though. Better off to wait till after xmas. Less chance of damage and theft.
