  1. If you want a stellar plan on a 2month wait. Like the eliptical tube from fireball. but the most durable is a boxed lonestar.
  2. A 200 watt stator has 2 100 watt legs. both need voltage regulators. really right now you only have a 100watt
  3. Not sure what stock throw is. maybe someone will chime in with what lever/perch combo works good. are you sure your free play is good
  4. Is it the same stock lever? or a replacement with no pbrake
  5. Either to much freeplay or the lever design has less travel
  6. Usually no need to gap. if they seem okay run them as is. is the box is fucked up by a different plug.
  7. Cause it looks fast. Make a ridiculous price offer for him
  8. You gotta be kidding me. three topics for your same problem? You had better find someone who knows what they are doing and have them fix it. You are obviously overlooking something. where do you live? maybe someone could swing by and help you out.
  9. Finch is right to a point. if you have the proper needle (which the pe-1 is) then when you set idle jetting correctly your mid will be right. I saw that j-madd had mentioned in another post to set the needle by lowering it until the idle just starts to get gamey.start around 48.5mm or so. this is what ive done for years and it works good. if you are rich on bottom it will be smokey, and boggy of idle. the pj you need to set under load. start wide open and lean down.
  10. I used to have one. loved it. was great way to store a plug wrench. used it to read my plugs at the top of the hill.
  11. Thats what i was picturing in my head. not as good looking in my opinion but looks stronger and safer.
  12. X2 on not running without a chain. one time i ead running my jetski on the hose at the house. accidently put some 20%nitro alky mix in it. it ran away and i pulled wires but it kept running. had to smother it. motor was toast. what are your needles at
  13. Nobodys had a set of dgital calipers fuck up on them yet? i agree they are convienient but ive had 2 of them fuck up on me now what ever is inside them slips and it becomes inaccurate while sliding. you can re zero it and it will work fine but once in a while it slips. really been thinking about going old school.
  14. Your own fault for not realizing shit was missing and beat up. pay attention when your buying shit. you should sell it to rattlecan ray
  15. You can never get a hold of tim. ive been waiting for 5weeks now to get some spindles made. he is supposed to call me monday. I think he has enough work to stay busy for a month in advance. When i was checking wheelman was booked til june. maybe call arlo at hod. hes a new site sponsor and builds nice stuff
  16. You have a picture of a single arm that doesnt use the strut to support the spindle. im interested in seeing this. sounds like it could be beefy
  17. Looks like the rear arm mount and upper strut mount are lined up= little to no caster
  18. the last part about being mechanicly inclined has me laughing now. two topic on how to put in a pancake bearing and adjust a clutch. gimme a break your buddy must be a real dipshit if your the wrench.
  19. I only run 120-140 psi in mine rides smooth and handles great. but i built it and thought about camber, caster and bumpsteer while laying it out.you gotta have functionality before looks. Most setups dont have enough castor and way to much bumpsteer because they dont mount the stem and tierods properly.
  20. Pretty bad if you cant figure out how to avoid bump steer in such a small amount of wheel travel when building chassis. to the op have you checked your toe set with you on the bike
  21. Exactly. same topend speed/ratio but one less shift and more wheel speed off the line
  22. Got mine at the hardware store. Got it at lowes. The head isnt flat but it doesnt seem to hit anything. better hardware store probably even has allen head that would work
  23. Gear up to 16-41. Only run up to 5th gear. the extra wheel speed should help launch. i also rec all stock springs. possibly cut 1 coil on 3 of them. This will let the clutch slip a little not blowing the tires off so bad and help if it wanted to bog. then maybe add 1 nut to each arm if the clutch slips on topend.adjust tire pressure between 3-5lbs depending on sand conditions. to recap problem 1 is to low gear causing excessive spin. problem 2 is to much spring in clutch. problem 3 was the bonus. 6th gear is not for sand drags in my opinion. This should help. dont overtire. it will slow you down on the longer runs
  24. Black wire to frame near the regulator is chassis ground. Solid black at cdi, coil, stator are grounds should have good continuity.
