Plastic tubs were on sale at home depot under $10. get the black one with yellow lid. i would guess about 100 to get to cam. ups had some bullshit extra fee cause he lives in the boonies i guess.
You know, I've been using a cooling system pressure tester to do mine. It has a nice gauge and built in pressure supply. Plus you should test your cooling system for leaks as well. I have seen to many upper dome orings leaking.
I hate skunks. My last house had a problem with skunks. they would travel across my backyard so i started trapping them. First one found out animal control wouldnt take them unless i register my trap. f that ended up shooting them. After the first one neighbors heard the shot and would close windows cause they knew the stink was coming. residential hunting at its best.
Just a thought. check the local welding supply or metal supply shop. sometimes the let guys hang their cards or they could refer someone. finding a great welder is hard to do.
The 125 rod puts it at 1.95 rod ratio
115/64 stroke is 1.79
stk motor is 2.03.
stk stroke long rod is 2.13
you decide. calculate the rpm you want to run and make power at then figure you piston speed.
i bet you chose the 125 rod.
My question was are both the 115 and 125 rod pistons shelf parts or are they special like some cheetah stuff. if both are shelf go longer rod. sounds like a fun setup. can you pick your reeds on that cylinder?
Do people put big bearings in stock cased? thought it was only for billet. i would run good tz skf explorer bearing with brass color ring and max loads for the rest all stock size. Are they special pistons just for this application or are the standard for another engine?
Im sure your aware that they are not 23cc anymore. you should calc your compression ratio and make sure your where you want to be. might need to open up the bowl if compression is to high. I shoot for 30-38% right now and it seems good for me. drag motor though.your right a narrower band pulls better on top in my experience.
