  1. Anyone need a vacation? Im sure if dude bought a ticket and provided lodging someone could help put a motor in and learn you a few things.
  2. Float needle and float arm bend is different on lectrons. If you change the parts you can run either way. Pumps are used when gravity wont keep up.
  3. If you find one im looking for pieces to do j arm to a arm swap. If price is right on upper rear a arm mount and tube im interested
  4. Why? seems like a waste money. Maybe something on a turbo build but even then not really needed unless its a very radical build like stimberts turbo
  5. Wow. What did the sponsor have to say about the shit powder coat job (assuming you bouhht it new and powder black)

    250r Parts

Also looking for parts. Need rear caliper from an 86 250r. Lmk if anybody has one or any leads
  7. Locks and chains only slow them down so much. When my plasma cutter/torches portaband etc are 5 feet from the bikes i feel its kinda pointless. The best protection is living in a good area with good neighbors. And dont advertise what you have. Keep it out of sight.
  8. It it doesnt bog, how is it out of power? If it doesnt wheelie, why wouldnt you thing it was a lack of traction issue
  9. No wheelie or bog with a 12 ripper and a 10 arm means your sitting on the tank or in really soft soil. Try moving back
  10. What brand stator cover/bearing support on the dmx? I've been looking for one like that
  11. [quote It really doesn't matter what the OP does, but the tune for shorter distances is much more aggressive in most cases. Than the tune for longer distances. this is very true. The complete build is different to be ideal. Not saying you cant make a 1/4 mile bike fast in 300'. But if the same tuner had a purpose built 300'bike they would be better off. Rec to op back of timing like sty said cause its free. If that dont work id look into some new domes
  12. In my opinion to much compression causing the engine to fight itself. Is this a k&t motor?
  13. Weight tire size and track surface? compression real high? Might be a little 2 much timing but plug looked right to me
  14. Fuel valve type and tank cap vent specifics please. Also billet bowls? Does it fall ob its face or just doesnt quite rev out right? Its either starving for fuel or geared a little high. Gears tires and weight info would help also
  15. Learn to use photo bucket or taptalk
  16. Motor mount bushings and side rubbers must be worn. That or you tightened that bolt way to tight. To fix a crack drill a hole at the end of every crack trail then bevel it out real nice the whole way. Its hard cause there isn't a lot of room. A dremel with cut off wheels work pretty good.coat every thing with spray on spatter guard. Then just weld it back up. Can't help you there either it looks good or bird shit. I assumed you would be pulling engine and electrical to do this. I would lay the bike on its side also. Welding flat position is just so much easier.
  17. had to go look. I guess i bored mine out cause its 3/8 also.
  18. Get a longer bolt also. Whats it in the nyloc like 2 threads?
  19. Its pretty important to see what float needle and seats you have. Btw you can go bigger than that on the cap. Good pic though
  20. Not main needles. Im refering to the ones the floats control. Take a pic of that. Should also have a # if you remove it on the bottom. If the pj is dual fed with a venturi on it they are maxed out. Fix vent cap issue and report beck with float needle info.
  21. re read complete thread. No pics of carbs. If they are what i think they are they are maxed out. They only have like 5 turns out from closed before they are full open stock. If they are drilled like packard does its even less.what needle and seat you have? Gravity fed needs a big vent. Drill and tap it for a big barb fitting same size as supply line. Airs gotta get in as fast as fuel goes out or your creating vacum. If your racing past 300 feet your gonna need a pump.
  22. X4 on new mounts all around. You can mig weld it with no problem in this situation. If you use a mig with .035 wire for steel then the weld is now the weakest point. But not by much. In this situation it will be more than adequate. The only reason to build a chassis out of chromo is so you can run a thinner wall tube thus saving weight and maintaining same strength. Personally i only use dom. Easier to work with and i'm not jockey size so the extra 2 lbs of chassis weight Savings is not worth the headache. Does this frame have bottom mount struts?
