  1. Most cylinders that run well have boyesen ports. With those in i dont feel windows are as important. You guys are right about stock cylinder needing windows. I havent dealt with stock cylinders for awhile
  2. Anyone have a 450 shock stroke measurement? I would like to know from bumper to base of body when fully extended. Eye to eye should be 15.75. Whats the travel?
  3. Could you get some close up pics? What hubs do you have? Are you concerned with the lower shock mount design? Looks like alot of leverage on the mount
  4. Thats something i learned a few years ago. If you tell people their stuff will be ready in a week but you know its more like 2 then they are mad and your always rushed. If you just tell them upfront and pad your timeline you are not as stressed and when you deliver as promised people are happy. Sure they might bitch about long lead times but they would be pissed if you delivered late anyway.
  5. Looks like 450 shock is 1" longer. Wonder if it has more stroke or if its all in the lower eye? Aftermarket 450 shocks probably provide a little more travel.
  6. Pm sent to doc at stellar to see if they can clear this up.
  7. You run resistor caps and plugs? Not just a b9es? Those egv plugs eat motors easier than es
  8. Yes. I have a cheetah with no pv slots. You can see in the casting where it would go
  9. Im starting to think only the tab is different for shock clearance. The balljoint mounts are different for banshee and 450 spindles. Banshee is angled, 450 is flat. Spindles need to match arms. Any one know shock lengths?
  10. Their initial response was that they dont sell j arms for 450 shocks. Not sure why?
  11. I know that. I have j arm and was trying to figure out what was so different on the lowers to run the 450 shock. I wasnt gonna run stock 450 but thought a longer aftermarket shock would be nice
  12. Any update on what this was? Brother inlaw bought one and has similar issue. He wont listen to me about leak down test so im pretty much over it. Would be nice to know if your was carb or crank seal.
  13. Decon was working on that couple years ago. I think it was for a 450 swap. Im talking aftermarket arms geared towards 450 shocks
  14. So you dont have aftermarket arms built for 450 suspension? i thought that the were setup to allow for a slightly longer shock. Maybe i went about this all wrong. What are the longest shocks you can run stock, +2, +2 yfz style, long travel is around 19.5 ive read.
  15. Please explain reason for this. Also is only the lower arm different due to shock mount location? Any pics would be helpful.
  16. You sure you want the wall finish so smooth? Ive heard otherwise. Look into it before you spend a bunch of time sanding.
  17. Now i see it. That build had a fair amount of support from tim bond. Cool build for sure. If im not mistaken he has 2 bikes
  18. Normally directions would be Cut off old subframe Grind pretty Weld on mounts for new
  19. Distilling wont even get it all out. I think you can only get like 95% pure. Check this out. Works as a filter. http://www.deltaadsorbents.com/3a-edg-molecular-sieve-ethanol-grade/t101c24.aspx#.U-wy3Mnn-BY
  20. Whats with the spindles? Any damage, reamed ball joint holes, etc? Assuming from 05?
  21. As for the clutch frictions we primarily use Yamaha fzr 1000 fibers. We have played with Barnett kevlar and want to try carbon fiber frictions some time soon. As for the steels, we use different types of materials, treatments & coatings. We have a pretty detailed maintenance & inspection program for the clutch frictions & plates. Pulled that from 2012 in the lock up thread. Never recall any more info than that
  22. If your worried about water contamination you could pour it through a chamois when filling your small can to mix in. Should remove almost all the condensation.
  23. Search the classifieds. Was one for sale a few months back with no action for around 800
  24. Yep. Extra suit case with crank and top end. Probably cheaper than regular shipping.
