  1. Good examples. Both are close in power and tq. Now people will only argue different builders and dynos. So much for bigger bore aint worth a fuk. I dont understand some of you guys and if your thinking clearly
  2. Its a fact that the larger the engines get the less efficient they become whats the tq in your referenced examples. Were they on same fuel type? If a big bore short stroke is not a good idea then why did calvin build a 84bore 4mil dmx to fit the 650 class when he already had 10 dms out. The dmx has even bigger transfer tunnel issues as well but it seems to work fine
  3. Larger piston would require shorter port windows due to more displacement under the piston and wider ports from larger bore diameter. The whole deto thing im not to sure about. I dont think transfer tunnel size is an issue as you are implying. lets use stock cylinder 68×54 and 66×58 as examples since cc wise they are similar
  4. Perform thumb compression test on cylinder that the plug on the left came out of. Report back when you find out that sides toast
  5. Thats what i get for rushing through a post on my break. Thanks for clearing that up thoughBtw hows that efi coming along. You done reinventing the wheel yet?
  6. I luv all thes dum fuks dat kant readz adds 2 gud. Learn to fucking read a guys ad and understand it. 90% of oofs for sale are re welded some where and sellers never mention it. Good price for pipes with stingers and silencers. dont let these cheap fucks get to you. Glws
  7. Square is same bore and stroke ie 68×68 Stock is under square 54x64 4Mil dm 64x78 is oversquare Tradional thought is square motor runs better Also tricked what about 130,132,137 rods
  8. Wrong bowls on carbs? What about your wiring repair on your prior repair? Maybe no ground for everything now?
  9. Didnt titan build a 4mil dmx a few years back? Wonder how it did. Also didnt jmadd build a larger bore shorter sstroke combo for the 650 class thats running well?
  10. Looking to convert a j arm frame. Looking for someone cutting up an old frame. Would like the front suspension clip complete if possible so i can cut what i want. You could cut out center tubes to make it smaller to ship. Let me know what you have. Not looking to spend a fortune and im in no rush. If nothing pops up i will just swap complete frames. Located in northern california
  11. Any updates on this? Looking into doing something similar. I was not aware you could run a piggyback shock with j arms. Also who did you get the brake lines from.
  12. Just fyi the piston part number 795m06550 means its a 795 series piston for a 65.50mm bore.also you better post some good pics showing all the knicks in the deck. I would be pissed if i bought those and that wasn't mentioned
  13. Did you go back to the future? lol couldnt resist. The reason most cant see it is the color of the posting. Change it to black so we can see it on our phone.
  14. The pistons in the pic say 65.5. Whats the actual cylinder bore size and condition? Pics of calipers measuring cylinders would help
  15. You cases need to be cut for a 7mil. I thought you were going 7 or bigger. 4mil is common enough that you could try to build yourself. Probably wont run as good though. Anything larger takes alot of homework to get right. Better off buying it complete. Different rods have different wristpin sizes, which require different pistons, which have different dome rise, which require different dome profiles. unless you want to do alot of searching i would just call a builder and give him your card#
  16. Might depend on bore and stroke. If your going stroker i recomend getting everything from one builder your first time. Its not quite the same as what you have now.
  17. You can run 7mil in small bore sizes. Call empire and talk to eric. They had a great deal on a 7mil combo
  18. Maybe on the recoat. ask who is going to port it. X2 on getting a fork window installed. i think you will bend or burn up more than 1 fork in your life. Whats your budget?
  19. You are aware you shouldnt hold some bulbs on the glass. Its good practice to treat them all that way as it becomes second nature to you.
