  1. man i would be pissed if i followed this write up. Picture it. Im in my living room with my bike in front of the couch and my new case saver in hand. I follow his directions but after taking out the old uetral cover the old lady walks by in something skimpy. Needless to say i drop my new part next to my pants and im off. A while later i come back to find tranny oil all over my carpet. I mean if your gonna do a write up get all the steps right and make it dummy proof
  2. I realize things do fail and companies learn in the early stages of production, but i can see skeeters reason for bashing now. This problem appears to be known and a remedy has been made for this issue yet the owners are not aware that they have a faulty product. I understand costs associated to recalling the defective parts would most likley shut the doors to jds but the info should be put out there. I would be mad if i bought a defective product but if someone in my family got injured and the manufacturer knew of the defect i would be irate. Just my 02. Shame it happened and jd is doing a decent job at damage control but consider releasing the info on how to id the early defective arms.

    Thanks for the offer. Guess i should clear up my price point. Im looking to spend like 65 for one with a lid and pro design setup.

  6. Your local? These guys are correct upshift no clutch and on the gas. Down shift with clutch not under a load. You cant coast with this trans. It it meant to be ridden under full load or clutch pulled in for drag racing. If you want to dune get a pro mod. Adrenaline can do the work for you. they probably know what trans it has.
  7. Still interested. Option 1 with boost capability in the future. Is pricing still looking the same? What about pricing for flywheel mod and list of parts/sources to get them and diagram? What is the best book to read up on that you have found. Trying to breathe some life into this

    stock air box

    As stated looking for stock air box,boots,lid,and filter. Pro design setup is a plus. Must be in good condition. Not looking to spend a fortune. Have pods with outerwears for possible trade. I want to be able to take my pods off and have everything to run stock airbox.
  9. If that works about the 3 minute mark gives you a good idea of summer ground conditions. Hill is steeper than it looks on video.

Trail was marked as 40" recomended width. It had some real tight spots but not bad. 3rd and 4th the whole way. I will try and find a vid of the steep stuff. Out here most riding is geared towards dirt bikes in the forest My other bikes are mainly drag. Ro is tire roll out.
  11. Im geared at 13-41 which was good for the stock motor with pipes. I would like to keep the motor as is. I fully agree on wide open area riding a banshee is where its at. I have 3 more for that purpose. Im looking to do more tight technical dirtbike sized trails. So gearing needs to be low and traction needs to be high. just order tires. Will be leaving gearing the same for now even though ro is going up alot.
  12. Will do. Im going to try the 22" first. Then -1 if that doesnt work. If both fail its gonna be time for drastic changes, gonna try a yfz 450.

  15. Right now new18" douglas mx. Ordering kenda klaws just trying to iron out size. Either 20 or 22" depending on what will fit the arm needed for traction.
  16. Do you have enough traction to lift the front end at will? Any time i get into the power band it just spins tires with no lift. Even in the good dirt sections its horrible. Are your pro pegs down and back from stock?
  17. How much better is the traction on a negative arm? Just putting together a basic woods/trail bike. Basic motor bolt-ons, pipes,reeds,head,timing. Out west most of the year is hard pack with gravel on top so traction is impossible with a stock arm.also how close are the tires to the pegs? Thinking a -1 with 22" tire. Input from -2 arm riders would be helpful.
  18. Was just wondering cause i went out this weekend on some new douglas mx tires and it was horrible. i think they spun all day. But conditions were bad. Like concrete with marbles everywhere.
  19. How are they on hardpack for summer riding. Also any traction advantages by running a 22-23" tire over a 20?
  20. Damn. Cant you just use a push button kil switch to trigger the tors input wire to the cdi?
  21. been thinking about the concept of everything being paralel for a bit. What about when you run tall tires like 79 or 81 ro. The swinger will run uphill to the tire. Would you set up on stands with no tires first?

  23. Since they are doing another production run they are worth as much as a couple months ago. I think new front and rear is 6-700
