  1. No, the whole caliper should slide back and forth on little pins.... They hold the caliper to the mounting bracket, and the caliper can slide back and forth so it wears the pads evenly
  2. Is the caliper sliding back and forth freely on the mount? (slide pins frozen)
  3. Just seen your pic... You have the bolt out completely... I would think they would compress enough. Someone else might chime in
  4. I think you have to loosen the parking brake (locknut and bolt) and then compress the pads. I haven't done it in a while.... Then once on and brakes pumped back up, tighten the Pbrake bolt and then the locknut. They never stay set to work for very long....
  5. i have the regular floats and like them a lot! i have asr +2 arms now and they ride and land great! like a pillow...
  6. i believe they just push in... no specific adjustment, just push and i think they click in
  7. there are little "pins" on the sides of the carbs that push in. that is what the groove on the slides is supposed to slide on. push the pins back in (if they're there) and rotate slides until groove is on pin and they should drop correctly
  8. Check your compression, also check your jetting http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html
  9. i just called honda east about them and the guy told me they dont have them in stock(and they are not going to) , they have to order them and then ship them out. dammit i wanted to just go grab a set!
  10. Red and white for sure!!! other than that i like the orange / black 08 (i think) that we cant get easily ...
  11. Its your clutch side crank seal , sucking in oil guaranteed.
  12. They're not bad... oil them up too!!! no... jk... just tap em on evenly
  13. alright guns, to make it a little easier putting it back together... install crank bearings on crank,... and put a very, very thin coat of your favorite 2s oil on the outsides of the bearings .... it will almost slide back together.. just lightly tap it with the rubber mallet as you align everything.
  14. GUNS! re-read my post :: its not hard to put the case back together. ive done 4-5 of them.... separating it would be a problem without a tool . the one im talking about looks very similar to the one paul blart posted but its just a general multi puller tool. edit: found it http://www.ebay.com/itm/SNAP-ON-BOLT-GRIP-PULLER-SET-CJ2001P-NICE-USED-NO-RESERVE-/271046028317?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item3f1b9a2c1d&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_1022 this ones going cheap so far. the only special tools you need is a flywheel puller and something like this
  15. Guns, do you mean a tool to seperate the cases?i just use a regular puller tool.... similar to the one yama posted, just has 3 slots to put bolts through. could probably rent one at autozone. then when you put it back together yamabond it and tap it together with a rubber mallet SLOWLY!
  16. I don't think you "have" to .. pretty sure they dont check sound or sparkies. there's quite a few pics on their website if you click around yamahaman linked it already
  17. Yea, I think it is an old gravel quarry.
  18. Yea man like JD said , its a good time there's a little bit of everything... Bring your jeep, quads, sidexsides , whatever ... I've been there twice and still don't think I've seen it all.
  19. yea, one of our family friends is co-owner of bundy. whatcha wanna know? (no free admission lol)
  20. No they don't, they're quite different size wise. where they mount to the frame.
  21. my 2004 did! looked just like those... also my blaster had them on it. only pic i have is the one over there <<<
  22. Those are stockers FO SHO ! my bike came with em ... watch, put that plastic key holder thingy on there they'll look right at home EDIT: i just seen the adapters!! i dunno ............ no marking on the bars anywhere? under the grips?
  23. If you want low end keep the stock pipes! them things hit as soon as you touch the throttle! i got fatties .... they take a second to kick in and fall off early. their ok i guess
