  2. im pulling the cylinders this week to send them into herr jugs racing for a full topend rebuild hardcore mx port while its off im gonna check the crank and all thanks for the help from everyone
  3. oh i dont know how this went into exhaust and jetting ??? i clicked mads and repairs damn computers lol, yea IDK what the hell is the problem yet ill figure it out I think Im going to pull the swing arm replace the bearings clean everything up get the chain nice and tight and greased up then see what happens, I hope its that simple. I havent bought bearings in a while is allballs still one of the best or is there someone better
  4. where else would you want me to put it? this is considered a repair right? thanks I was kind of leaning towards bearings as well its just weird I know its hard to diagnose things like this on a forum I just throw anything that happens on here so if im missing something someone can point me in the right or different direction but yeah I think im going to order a bearing kit from allballs today, worst thing that could happen is I just have fresh bearings lol thanks again man

Went ridin yesterday and the engine is running great or i think it is, when taking off my bike wont stand up or even try to, the rear wheels wont even spin ???? never had this problem it aint the quickest bike in the world but it will play with 450's all day long on a good day, any ways when taking off the rear end will pop or make a pop feeling if that makes sense. I think its either the chain is too loose sprockets are worn or maybe even bearings, the thing that stumps me is once it gets going it doesnt have the problem??? today im going to check the chain, sprockets, and bearings see if either of those is the issue if anyone else knows whats wrong or has an idea please give me some more suggestions because other than those 3 issues i have no idea what it could be.

I installed my new reeds today and at idle the left cylinder's exhaust doesnt feel like it has the same compression as the right judging by the exhaust pressure but last month when i checked the compression both were within 5 psi of each other and the were in the low 130's at WOT or any throttle level for that matter it feels more of the same, could my left cylinder be blown? I was planning on a fresh rebuild from fast later next year since i have no clue how the bike was ridden and now with this mysterious rock I guess I might be sending the jusgs in sooner than planned
  8. thanks for your advice but just to let you know you can get a brand new set of VF3 for cheaper than if you buy a chariot cage and boysen reeds just FYI, I didnt go either route I just replaced the pedals took advice from Jeff @ FAST and he said the VF2's are the best and chariot doesnt offer military discounts so I will probably never do business with chariot plus everything the have is more than any one else for the same EXACT thing. And for the rock issue like i said brother it hasnt been my bike for long, ive owned it for about a month now and ridden it two or three times so I think it was there from the previous owner and i do have air filters, they are the K&N pods I always run with them and would like to think the guy I bought it from did as well. To everyone else thanks for all the input I appreciate it ALOT!!

  12. I dont know the specs for the wheel base but I do know setting side by side with a +1 swing im still a little bit shorter (thats what she said) than my buddies trx450r which is stock swing maybe im smoking crack but oh well thanks for the info
  13. I just dont feel comfortable buying something like that from a small company, not that I dont support site sponsors cause I LOVE THE GUYS AT F.A.S.T but if something happens I just feel more comfortable buying things like that from a bigger company

Ok so here goes I HAVE NO CLUE HOW IT HAPPENED but my left cylinder was not firing right if at all, I had just cleaned the carbs and air filters and replaced the spark plug still not running so I figured it had to be the reeds, I then pulled the left cylinders carb and sure enough there was a rock the size of a peanut setting in the reed cage? so I pulled the reeds out to get the rock out and one of the pedals was broken (thank God the rock didnt get past the reeds). I have the VForce 2 reeds, should I just fix them with new pedals or are the 3's or another set up better?

I told yall i would let yall know what was wrong with the bike when I figured out, and the carb choke plunger is jacked up and it wasnt choking properly which is why it was or wasnt firing up on certain days so the mechanic afro engineered it until i can buy a new one any one know where the cheapest I can get one? I found one online for 31 dollars.
  16. damn kids the quads say 18 and older riders only come on pull the panties out of that wad and either shut up or put up in a race for some real ass whoopin, all that said I do agree comfort and durability are some of the most important factors in a XC/harescramble bike thats not saying other shit aint important but these bike are A LOT smaller than most of the other quads at the tracks IE 450ex yfz450 ect there stance is longer and wider so if you want -1 swing or a +3 swing who gives a fuck as long as thats what you like on the bike for the race I particularly like +2+1 a-arms a + 1 swing and a +2 axle and all that your still one of the smaller quads at the track

Just an update for you I cleaned the carbs one at a time they were pretty clean surprisingly before i touched them, then re-assembled them the same way they came apart put the slide in with the half moon towards the air filters, kicked probably 50 - 100 times and still nothing. I then checked the compression got a 140 in right cylinder and 136 in the left side as your riding the quad, I think thats about right from what I have been reading on here so I just took it in to a local mom and pop shop in town he is gonna look into it tomorrow so we will see, weirdest part is as soon as I unloaded it at his shop to show him how it "wouldnt" start it fired up on the third kick? I know i should take the time to fool with it myself but partly with it being new to me Id like to get it a clean bill of health since im new to 2-strokes and ill just learn once i know everything is fine and if it stops running i know that I DID something wrong lol so thanks for your help man Ill let you know what the mechanic says about what was wrong with the bike.
  21. Ok thanks ill clean the carbs and get back to you, I know this is probably a stupid question but how do I check the compression? I know when it runs it runs like a champ
