  1. Here's where I'm at with all of this. I've been on the phone with a few HQ members, talked to a few through PMs and every one of them say this whole benefit seems fishy. I do not know IndianaploisBuck personally so I can say if this whole thing is legit or not. I can only say I surely hope it is and would be disgusted if it's not giving that a lot of us have lost family members due to the wrath of cancer. My Wife's Uncle being the closest one to me. From what people have told me we should not do the benefit but continue the ride. I think that's the best thing we can do here. This started as a ride before the benefit idea and I don't want to can the whole trip. We all may be wrong and this all be legit but nobody really can prove anything and from what I've been told most people are backing out of the benefit portion anyways so holding the benefit would be pointless at this point anyways. I hope to see everyone at Haspin, be ready to eat some good food, sip a few cold ones (water for me) and have a good time. Does everyone agree that this is the best thing to do in this situation?
  2. IndianapolisBuck, First, I don't know what's going on and I don't want to speculate until you reply. But if you're selling your Banshee to help a family member in need and doing this benefit ride then it doesn't make since to be buying a $4,000 quad. Please explain. I've had a lot of people PMing me asking about this and some are already backing out on the donations. Here's the thread I'm referring to. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry995221 Regardless to the outcome of all of this, I'm still riding and the ride is on.
  3. Seriously? I thought you were hurting for cash so you were selling your bike to help a family member out with cancer. I know it's really none of my business but I've been working hard to try and raise parts, money and ideas for you and your family then I see you have 4g to throw down on another bike??
  4. You could've told him the mount was broken and the bumper was mangled before you sold it to him. Makes me wonder what you're hiding on this Banshee you're trying to sell. Mike is a well known, respectable member here on HQ and I agree with him, buyer beware.
  5. Yea, Jeff is building my motor next month anyway. I'll hit him up and see.
  6. The best I've found so far is $345 shipped for a set of 35mm PWK carbs which includes the throttle cable. Does anyone know a better place to get some?
  7. Mike, looks just like CB's bike when he blew his. We'll get it and I'll make you a good deal on my stock crank if you go with a stock one.
  8. Wrong. You'll drain the bowls and lean it out. I've seen it done too many times. You can't leave a Banshee pinned forever or it WILL blow it up and I'd almost guarantee this is what blew Mike's up. This is why they make aftermarket bowls and dual pingel fuel petcocks.
  9. Yea, good point. Nobody does like to let up first, lol. We should mark the finish line so we know when to let up. ha ha I know at Badlands I had a couple close calls by not letting up soon enough.
  10. Typical run will be 300 feet. I agree with you, the end is a mess but we should be okay if we stick with 300 feet. The problems are more like 450-500 feet out. But Haspin changes daily so we really won't know till we get there.
  11. I agree but I've heard they can be like that. Just make sure you clear it with them first. I'd just hate to see this not go as we're planning.
  12. Has anyone talked to Haspin about this race? Keep in mind, this track is open to anyone and anyone can race unless someone contacts Haspin to see if we can reserve the track. I've heard that Haspin will want a cut of the money if we are racing for money. Best bet is to call them and explain it all. Otherwise it may not go as you're planning.
  13. He was probably one of these guys. Which in that case I agree with chasing him down. Banshee's are made to ride wheelies in the hood.
  14. Goof is a word, just not the right one. LOL

    35mm PWK

I need a set of 35mm PWK carbs. If you have a set for sale let me know.
  16. FYI GrMeyer, I've been riding for 25 years so I'd say it's safe to say I've got plenty of seat time. If you have music blaring in your ears when you're riding, you can't hear your motor. Unless you have a tach to tell you where you're at on your RPMs then you won't know when to shift. I'm sure you could train yourself to feel for it, but it's not for me. I bought an ipod just for riding and tried it for about 20 minutes. I found myself concentrating to hard on what gear I was in and when to shift. Took the fun out of riding.
  17. I tried listening to music when I ride but didn't like it. It's hard to listen to the motor and know when to shift.
  18. I know, it's not a question on my Banshee but I can't seem to find a direct answer on other forums and I trust the people here on HQ. So I bought my wife a 2005 YFZ450. I put a LRD slip-on on the bike and now I want to jet it. I know jack about the jetting on these. I need to know stuff like 1. What is the stock main jet, pilot jet, clip setting and air screw settings? 2. How do they size the mains and pilots? For example, on a Banshee they go 200, 210, 220 and so on with the mains and on the pilots they go 25, 27.5, 30 and so on. What's the scoop on the jets for the YFZ? 3. Would anyone know a good spot to start the jetting on the YFZ? It's bone stock with a LRD slip-on, lid on, stock filter and 800 feet above sea level. 4. When I do the cam mod, do I need to jet again? 5. What changes will I have to make if I remove the lid and run a stock style foam filter? Thanks for the help fellas.
  19. Nobody has a set of 35mm pwk??
  20. Yea, you're "gut" feeling is right most of the time.
  21. LOL, well you get my point. We need to set some regulations.
