  1. Best way to get in touch with Jeff is through email or phone. He's extremely busy right now. He told me he is much more busy this year than he has been in the past. Keep in mind he doesn't only work on Banshee motors. He does a lot of stuff for local shops too. I normally just email him and get really quick replies. Here's a quote from Jeff in one of our recent email conversations in regards to my cylinders. "I was up this morning working on them at 5am and im gonna try to do it again tomorrow. You WILL have them in plenty of time for your ride on the 10th that i promise! I havent even had time to get on HQ lately and that used to be my life. Im sure i have a ton of pm's but dont even have time to get on there to read them. I guess i figure if someone needs me, they will call or email me. We are WAYYYYY busier than we have ever been for this time of year." I agree about the colors / format of HQ. It has to go back.
  2. I'm not going to make it either guys. I got the Banshee back together but with the rain and this weather, I don't want to break it in under those conditions. Next time...
  3. Where at in Ohio? I'm in Ohio. Why no title? Is there a lean on it?
  4. What's the big difference in DGK vs CEL needles? My 35mm Keihin PWK have DGK needles. If I go to CEL needles, what's the advantage? Where can I get CEL needles?
  5. Here is my leak down tester. I have less than $20 in it (I already had the valve stem.) I got the PVC caps from Home Depot for $0.52 each, the rubber caps (for the exhaust) at lowes for $2.99 each and the gauge from Advanced Auto for $8.99. I used sealer on threads of the gauge and around the valve stem. Works like a charm. I've seen guys buy pvc pipe and cap the ends. There's really no need for that extra joint as this works perfect, unless you can't find the size you need in just the cap. I got lucky with my 35mm carbs.
  6. I'm a little confused on what's "okay" when it comes to leak down testing. I know it's 6 PSI for 6 minutes. Does that mean it has to hold steady at 6psi for 6 minutes or is it okay to drop 1 psi per minute? I've been working on mine and at first the psi dropped instantly. (I forgot to tighten the intake bolts all the way up, lol.) so I tightened them up, ran it again and it still leaked a little in the seam of my wonderful boss intake. I split the intake, put some case sealer on the two halves and put it back together. Now I'm dropping 1 psi in 6 minutes and I can not find a leak anywhere. After the 6 minutes I'm reading 5psi. Is that okay?
  7. Jeff @ F.A.S.T. tells me I'll have my cylinders back in plenty of time to make this trip so count me in as of right now.
  8. I'll go if I get my motor back from F.A.S.T. It's been there all summer so I'd say any day now.....
  9. Ams oil makes killer products. I run their oil in my Wife's 450. I'm kinda partial to my Benol though for the Banshee!
  10. I really wish I was able to make it. Badlands is a blast. Maybe this fall! Someone take some pictures!
  11. I won't be making it. My cases will get back to me tomorrow and my cylinders probably next week. I'll make the next one!
  12. lol, it's his. Here is another thread he started. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=118004&hl= notice the location of the bike on the ebay add and the location of the craigslist add in his thread. Both Georgetown. Also, if you check the feedback as a seller you'll see feedback for this LT230 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=200333799298 which he listed on HQ http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=112987&hl= pics in his photobucket. And here is his videos in his thread http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=108130&hl= photobucket and ebay have the same screen name too. Why not just say it's yours? Classic ownage right here.
  13. I'm kinda new to the whole 4 stroke world as I ride a Banshee and have always worked on them. I bought my Wife a YFZ450 and it seems to run pretty good with the current jetting but I just want to see what the someone with some experience thinks. The only thing it's got is a LRD slip on. The lid is still on (has vents installed in it) and it has a stock style uni foam filter. What do you think my jetting should be at? We're in Ohio where the elevation is about 800 feet above sea level. Temps in the 70s and 80s. Current jetting is a 162 Main and 42 pilot and needle clip is in the middle position (NDSR needle.) Also, If I were to remove the lid, what adjustments would I need to do? Thanks guys for the help!
  14. I would like to take the tape off of the harness and remove the wires from the TORS as much as possible. If that's too much, I'll probably just cut the plugs off and tape them into the harness. I was hoping someone on here has done what I'm looking to do.
  15. What all is involved in taking the TORS wiring out of the harness? While my bike is apart I'd like to get rid off all those TORS plugs and their wires from my wiring harness.
  16. I bought a set of 35mm PWK carbs from VGD. Great communication, very fast priority mail shipping and like new condition. Thanks for a great deal Vito!
  17. Got the carbs today! Excellent condition, just what I wanted.
  18. I'd like to see all the sponsors on the back of the shirt just like you have then have a simple bansheehq.com logo in that new font on the front.
