so the crank seal was still leaking so i split the cases again today and replaced it, hopefully it will pass a leakdown tomorrow night

pulled primary gear off and packed the keyhole with sealant, ill do another leakdown tomorrow to see if its any better.

ya i put 3 bond in the keyway and on the key, ill have to pull the primary gear off and make sure it sealed

spray what?? i know where the leak is, between the crankshaft and the seal (both brand new)

so i did a leakdown on my motor today and it doesnt want to hold 6 psi, from 4 psi to 3 psi it took 9 mins to drop, is this acceptable?? the only leak is from one of the crank seals (between the crankshaft and the inner part of the seal) would you guys run this or should i split the cases again??

when was the last time you checked your compression? only time my shee "poofed" is from lack of compression, or timing was way off (sheared a key)

x2 you may have to go to a yamaha dealer to get the right one that you need

i would shear it and port it...... how old is your crank?

this sounds legit to me, the older tools are prob bullet proof to get us buying it, but now like you said they cut the cost and make cheap junk!

yep spend 300-400 bucks and get that thing ported, you will not regret it...

might be able to check the side to side play through the intake or exhaust ports..
