    yup last time i put my clutch cover on i thought mine was messed up too, but a couple little taps with a rubber mallet and it slide right in

    my springs that are in now are binding up for sure, the slides are opening about the same as your pics you posted, ill put the fast springs in tomorrow and see what happens

    im having a hard time gettin mine open all the way too, i have the easy springs from fast but they are smaller in diameter, how did you get them to fit the little white piece that goes inside the spring??

    ya it ran alot better from the 165 to 162 so ill drop it again, i gotta retorque the head tomorrow and check the plugs

    i just tried a 162 main and it still stumbles before the powerband (high rpm's of each gear) feals much better than the 165, looks like i got some work to do ha

    im jetting my 421 cub now, 165 mains wont let the gears rev out so im droppin them now. set up: 421 drag ported, shearer inframes, 35mm carbs, +3 timing on pump gas, 4mil hot rods

    i used a couple steel pipe clamps on each tailpipe, cant see them and they have never come off
