  1. im in jersey, but im a bit further north than most of you guys.
  2. i run belray 85w stuff, with no issues
  3. i bought a key and the whole cylinder deal on ebay for around 20 bucks.
  4. im not sure what they would be for, pilot jets are normally 25-27.5 and mains should be larger around 260-340+
  5. first off they took away the 50 post limit today i think secondly, i have stock lines, and stock shocks with my +2+1. would it be better with shocks and lines, sure, but i have no issues riding currently edit, zilla beat me to it
  6. trust me not to lean, it smoked like a bitch. and wouldnt clear out
  7. could that happen on new reeds? i did reeds when i did the top end.
  8. picked up that frame from travis. thanks man
  9. will my clymers tell me how to set the floats at the right height?
  10. I trimmed one wire not the other, but i think its a carb issue. mods are: mild dune porting unknown who did it. cool head with 21cc domes bored to 65mm (not that it matters) toomey t5's k&n air filter, billet water pump impeller i have a timing plate but havent installed it yet. 180ft elevation temp is around 35 degrees.
  11. honestly it depends on the woods you ride in, you need to figure out if you can fit through the trees being wider. I have +2+1 on mine, and can fit through my trails, but they arent the tightest either,
  12. air filter is new, same one i jetted it originally on it, and compression is good, i have maybe a hour on the top end. i dropped mains yesterday to try to solve the issue from 310's to 290's and it didnt make much of a differance.
  13. So after a long stuggle, i had my shee finally jetted right and the thing was fasttt. i rode it a few times after and it still ran fine. last monday the 26th, it was breaking up a little, but not terrible and it would clear out. Well yesterday i went to go ride it, and it was rich as hell. The weird thing was, when i tuned it, it was around 50 degrees, and when i went to ride it yesterday, it was in the upper 30's. If the tempature did anything, it should have leaned it out. I didnt touch the carbs on it between the rides. Anyone have an idea on whats going on?
  14. you shouldnt notice a volume change right out of the pump. now say if you take it to your heated garage it will look like you have more gas once its warm due to it expanding.
  15. Met up with Travis today, He offered to sell me his current frame for cheap, and the thing is in great shape, you can tell from talking to him, he keeps everything in the best shape that he can. Went through it and showed me everything he had done, and also let me see his plans for his bike, its gonna be sick. Also informed me how easy it is to register the quad so i dont have to worry about a title. Anyway, Great person to deal with, would defiantly purchase from him again. And ill prolly end up riding with him sometime when both of our quads are done.
  16. what ever you say, when you blow the money on new wires, try grabbing them and let me know when you get shocked
  17. its supposed to do that, they arent made to protect you. That is fine, if you go to a car, or a go kart, they will shock you while running as well. You dont have anything to fix.
  18. 0-1/4 throttle Pilot jet 1/4-3/4 Needle 3/4-WOT Main Thats how i based my jetting. So if it seems like its flooding somewhere between 1/4-3/4 i would drop the needle one position and see if it helps
  19. larry is right, we need to know, stock carbs? what type of carbs do you have?
  20. i think the problem is, everyone scrapped theirs lol or they are beat to hell. Mine met its demise to a tree here is the cheapest stock one i found on ebay that wasnt beat to shit though http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-Front-Bumper-Skid-Plate-/110773169357?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item19ca986ccd
