  1. my and my buddy with the 250r are bringing gas, as we have to run 100LL av gas. i bought a bunch of oil, and plugs, hopefully the elevation doesnt screw with my jetting too much.
  2. when you went it rained a lot didnt it? i dont drink, but I'm sure a few buddies might want to stop there to eat and they can have a few. So far it looks like mid to high 70's and sunny every day.
  3. there is a balance point with coolant systems and flow. too fast, and it doesn't dissipate the heat, to slow and it doesn't turn the water around fast enough to get rid of the heat. That's why on say a small block Chevy, they run a reduction pulley the higher the RPM you plan on running the more the reduction so the flow rate says at the optimum performance. I also deal with some thermal dynamics at work. lol
  4. you are talking about front fender stays correct?
  5. i have had the TM ones on my quad for around 5 years now, cant even really tell they show almost no signs of wear.
  6. you will notice a lot more gains if you did do port work. i have had stock, v3's and v4's and the v'4s have a better pull through the range then anything else i have used.
  7. I am staying at Ashland as well. my buddy put it together to rent a cabin. I also planned on bringing some bike locks and a chain to chain my quad to my truck just in case. i assume i should put some rear fenders on it as well? I saw that they are 2 way so i cant ride like a normally do on my property. I have another buddy with a 250r and a buddy with a zilla going as well.
  8. Me and a bunch of buddies are going to H&M trails in a little over a week. I know there was an east coast meet there a year or 2 ago. Looking for some advice. What trails to hit, and what to avoid, i would assume some trails involve a bunch of water and to avoid those. Anything that i should make sure i bring spare parts wise besides the usual spark plugs, 2 stroke oil, gas, chain lube etc?
  9. i have had the aluminum one for years now. never had an issue
  10. i figured this would be a good idea to help with water. I was going to put it in my connections this week, due to the fact that when i wash my quad it doesnt run right until it dries back out.
  11. could also be the shift star might be bent..

    Motor Mount

Looking for a Front Motor mount, clutch side. my current one broke. Let me know what you have. Thanks.
  13. JD, Any special on buying both currently? on your website you only have them as individual items.
  14. thats one thing i wish i did on mine was get the trans cut.
  15. as long as it still has the 89 style.
  16. i wouldnt go any larger then a 28mm carb until you have a massive motor. if you put bigger carbs on a stock setup, you will loose more bottom end. Have a good person, most likely a site sponsor do your port work, turn the timing up to 4 degrees. your pipes will be decent for the trails. your big power band issue is most likely jetting/tuning.
  17. my motor guy said we can plate the cylinders down the road to tighten them back up, if it only needs minor work.
  18. you should be able to pull the screw all the way out.
  19. check that the flywheel didnt crack and get the the point that it doesnt see the pick-up. also make sure they keyway is still good.
  20. are you sure its not getting spark and isnt a carb issue?
  21. just because it was running that way doesnt mean it was right.
  22. do you want something with more bottom end grunt, or top end range with a little lag at the bottom. I have SLP's and the bottom end is outrageous, but they do fall down at high RPM. if you want more top, look into a CPI or something like that.
