  1. Alky is already oxygenated to a degree. thats why it soaks up moisture so fast.
  2. where is it sluggish? if it is sluggish in the mid range, then i would move the needle. but either way you prolly need to change the jet as well.
  3. the best way to tell is to get the bike warm. put fresh plugs in to a 6th gear pull, and pull in the clutch and kill it. then pull the plugs and do a chop. looks rich to me.
  4. boost bottles dont do a damn thing performance wise. at least nothing noticeable and they just cause issues with air leaks. Idling could just be that the idle is too low, or jetting could be off. or carbs not synced. for the timing plate, cross over tube and shipping, like 40 bucks work?

  6. your gonna want to ditch the boost bottle, it will just cause you to tear a boot and get a air leak. i have a used timing plate and a stock cross over tube i can sell ya for a few bucks if you want. im a fan of SLP pipes, i have them, and they come in strong down low.

  11. yea i meant terrain, sand and stuff doesnt come off the front tires. hell i was at hatfield mccoy trails in the rain and didnt get super muddy even though the trails are mud. as long as you lean the right way when you turn and stuff its not terrible. with my +2 a arms its not like the fenders did a ton anyway.
  12. get yourself a carb sync tool, make it run even on both cylinders, and techniqually you get more power as both cylinders are then running the same vs one holding the other back a little.
  13. in reality is isnt bad, it has no ethanol which is the devil, but it going to make more power, just be more consistent of a fuel, but will also drain you pocket down fast. so i would think the explanation is that it is better if you have a bunch of extra money laying around, but isnt required. The only time higher octane is going to make a big power difference is when you have the supporting mods that require it.
  14. more compression you are going to want to get your crank trued and welded so it doesnt come appart.
  15. jesus the back of that thing looks like its a mile off the ground.
  16. if you want something a little better then pump, get some 100LL from a small airport. then you dont have to deal with ethanol. and its a hell of a lot cheaper then 110.
  17. if a vent it clogged it can cause pressure to build. there are 2 vents. most people block off the water pump one as it normally is in the way.
  18. are you still running a ton of oil in the fuel or did you drain that out? too much oil can change jetting and cause excess bog as the oil doesnt burn as well, and it also technically lowers your octane level.

  21. ok, trying the clearify, you dont have a leak that is a drip or consistently coming from somewhere, you are just loosing coolant?
  22. i was gonna say, those seals dont need the motor removed to replace it.
  23. if the water pump wasnt working, the radiator would be cool. as the hot fluid wouldnt be flowing through it. and a cool head doesnt mean it is cold.
