  1. if you want to learn to ride using the front brakes effectively, just dont have rear brakes for a while. I had a rear brake issue for a while and so they wouldnt really work, and so you depend on using the fronts. then when you get rears back, you can manage both properly lol
  2. a little more information, 4 mill long rod or short? are the domes machined for the 4 mill or do you need a spacer plate? what type of port job, just a clean up, MX, dune?
  3. An expansion take is a bandaid, ans a poor one at that. the coolant tank is a overflow or recovery tank. It doesnt mean that water got too hot. as you build heat and get up to operating tempature, the water it going to expand and build pressure. once it builds enough pressure to overcome the radiator cap. then it will go into that tank. doesnt mean that the quad is getting too hot, just that say the rad is full at 50 degrees and it is now running 100 degrees and the fluid expanded past the 8psi or whatever the banshee cap is rated for. That tank is made so when the quad cools down, instead of having a vacuum in the motor, or a air pocket, it can suck that coolant back in, and be constantly full.
  4. not at the moment, it sits in my collection of banshee parts in my barn, its a standard one though, uses the back two gas tank bolts to hold it in place, and the stock key goes in it, made of aluminum.
  5. by switching hose diameter, you will actually cool worse, because you arent flowing the water are the correct pace. Best things you can do is a oversized radiator, and a better waterpump impeller. Remember a fan can also hurt you, it can block air from going through at the higher speeds.
  6. i actually have one, ill sell you for 10 bucks plus shipping so it would be like 15 bucks. I switched to a different bracket to move some other stuff around.
  7. i would stick with standard front wheels maybe red labels as long as you arent doing insane jumps or a lot of really big rocks. honestly anymore there are a lot of tire brands that make good tires. i like my ambush i have. ITP is just going by the name they built anymore. others build just as good of a tire these days.
  8. I have a set of CPI silencers ill let go for 20 bucks plus the ride if you want them. no stingers, just the silencer itself.
  9. any air effects the cooling system. in most peoples applications it wont make or break them. but it does effect it.
  10. it all goes by where the base of the neck mounts to the rad. with the radiator mounted like it is slightly tipped back, you have a chance of trapping air where i have the red line. THe stock radiator is less prone then the aftermarkets are.
  11. the cap technically isnt the highest point in the banshee system considering the radiator is on an angle. the top corner is a air trap.
  12. it does because it keeps air from entering the system, the less air you have in the system the better the cooling will be. even though when your up to temp your coolant will expand you can get air pockets trapped into the system, making the cooling not perform 100%
  13. you will actually get much better and consistent cooling with a expansion tank. just so you know. as the radiator will recover any fluid it pushes out when it cools back down, and will constantly be filled.
  14. i assume your not running the coolant tank? I made a remote mount for my tank and mounted it in the front of the bike.
  15. i did that on my stockers. didnt trust myself drilling lol
  16. the keihin's are PWK cars, so they are a good style carb, we just need to know the size of the bore where it goes into the boot for the reeds. That way we can tell if over kill. When using a PWK you only really need to choke one side to get it fired up. I have 28mm pwk's on my quad and love them compared to the stockers. Plus no worrying about a choke tube, if the bowl is on the right carb etc.
  17. i assume it doesnt come with the risers in the picture?
  18. the fat bars. i assume i need special grips, levers etc to fit on them?
  19. i have the JDS rotor and sprocket guard, im just saying it doesnt give a ton more clearance then the original one. it doesnt catch anything though. unless you are in the coal hills then you can get it wedged in the sprocket guards.
  20. your not going to gain a ton of ground clearance by doing it. maybe 1/2 an inch. going with 22's will only gain you a inch of clearance as well.
  21. if you arent adjusted right with the clutch cable, and the clutch isnt disengaging enough, it will make it harder to find neutral while its running.
  22. I currently have some sunf tires in a 20 they hook pretty good. better then my holeshots did.
  23. it will gain you some on the top end, but hurt your bottom end pretty good. i would say 33's before 35. unless you are duning
