I installed a trinity timing plate and the closeest gap was .25 so i tokk a drill bit that fit inside the screw hole and milled (slotted) it alittle so the gap was perfect. only do the one hole the other side will pivot over giving you good gap. p.s. their was a good point to check both fly wheel nubs. min spec is .15 feeler gauges are cheap or you can mic the business card then use it for measurments mic = micrometer + harbor fright = 12.99 with 20% coupon

i installed a timing plate and wanted to double check the timing. can i use my light? is the split in the cases the 0 deg and is there a mark ing on the fly wheel? thanks in advance thomas doesn't the plug fire twice ?

sleeper06 got it with the 2005 yfz450 key switch malfuntion.

harness was cleaned out and ran with out v. reg. could this hurt the cdi because i do not have one?

it did run with out one so do i need it? , I tryed to do a dc conversion with a adjustable timing plate and now no spark. pick up ohms 114 ingition ohms 17 ( these number may have gotten switched) so stator is good also gap on pick up is 17 1000/s of an inch woodruf key is in place the only things changed is timing plate, and float the gound the wire i add to the ground i put back on the gound to try to get spark. ( didn't work) also cut the yellow lead so it is back the way is was befor. ( to reverse the float the ground) still no spark any thoughts?

I though it was on the low side too. is a re-ring something that is a option? are those vitios pistons supe light weight? porting is going to happen. I have a cool head, maybe i have the wrong size domes? i wanted to put on the timing plate because I'm also doing a DC conversion so might aswell put on the timing plate. i hope there is good nickel still left inside!! thanks for the post

ok did a compression got 115 and 119 so i'll try plus 4 timing and listen for detonation.

the guys @ leager like the fox float evol because it is lighter that most shocks and it is adjustable to your conditions they start around 1400.00 but no revalving or oil to change.

also open up you harness my shee drove fine but i cleaned out my harnees (torrs and lighting wire ) i also found rub spots and bare wires so check it out
