Pipes are Not a issue for me and I'm not burning my boots any more. Wacko told me how he was going to do his and he and sleeper did the best conversion to date. Money for more frame mods and custom radiator was not in the budget. If next weeks trip goes perfect then I'm finally done moding mine.

I'd also replace spark plug cap to ngk rubber style. Clean harness and grounds. Sync carbs. Check reeds. Leak down.

Actually I'm converting from a yfz450 front end. The alba kit needs banshee stuff. The Yfz spindles have some bad ball joint angles.

Spindles with all brake parts and hubs with lug nutsparts and lug nuts, 1998 newer.

Going to convert to e85 so I don't need the eletric fan. Took it to huckfest 2013 and it ran ok but over heated.

Alba does it again! Great deal on A arms and brake lines for my little bro. Best part is his banshee has Yfz 450 aluminum dual piston calipers and they swapped the ball joints tothe Yfz style for freezill. He had Yfz conversion front end and I hated trading with him. Because it was so twitchy and ruff. Ill report later how much better and how the yfzr 18.25 shocks work out.

Kory at alba reported that many customers like the yfzr stock spring rate and shim set.

Good info. I'm going to set up my brothers banshee soon. If the yfzr shocks work out. Ill tell you. Plus I have a extra set if your interested in them. I'm in so cal if you want to test ride befor buying.

Dune Elkas are about 700$ Used Elkas are about 500$ These low miles yfzr 250$. These shocks have hi and low speed adjustments. Works do not. Budget dune bike. If some could say hey Thomas check out this guys shit it could be more cost effective than alba or something close, that would be great.

Yfz shocks 14.75 Yfzr shocks 18.25 plus I don't think anyone can judge them to harsh because they haven't been out for that long. Most used works I've seen for banshee are about 14-15 inch Alba a arms designed for 17-18 Most plus 2 arms designed for 14 -16 Plus alba will swap ball joints for free so he can still use his yfz450 Alu spindles. This is budget long travel and totally get that he will have an issue if he hits a bowling ball on his dune quad.

I seen some stuff but most is in the 15-16 inch shock range And for a bit more he could get 18.25. And it will be new/ lo miles( 2012)
