  1. also clean the conection inside the offswitch itself. its either something in the switch or a bad ground.
  2. i can feel your pain bro, when i put my banshee together it took me 2 trips to busco and 1 trip to slades to figure out my electrical problem but it was worth it. anything i can do to help just let me know, when i got my banshee it was in a box and i had never put a banshee together before you know where i am at and i will help with anything i can
  3. so do you have a 4mil crank? if so you need domes cut for a 4 mil. also would help if you have the cylinders ported for the 4mil as well..
  4. i usually start a diagnosis by checking the pickup gap (.018-.020) and making sure the flywheel has no rust on the pickup tabs. then i would check the float height on both carbs. you can switch your plug wires to see if its a bad wire connection. what side is loading? i would put in some new plug when you do this.
  5. yes they do have showers and bathrooms. they also have a "snack shack" with food like hamburgers, hotdogs, bbq, and chicken tenders. the breakfast sandwiches are always good for a hangover they have a repair shop behind that with gas, helmets, and some parts for different bikes. there is a drive up movie theater and a game room. Many people will bring jet ski's and ride around the lake.
  6. i would check compression first thing then check to see if its getting fuel
  7. come on out jeff! you and the fam are more than welcome to come out anytime i go and welcome to the hq!
  8. no need for the paddles just bring the dirt tires
  9. admirable effort my friend! lets go another time in addition to this date when they are holding a race and we can get some times slips, i plan on going many times this year so ill be in touch and meet up with you if you are available.
  10. do some research... the jetting depends on your intake setup, your porting, altitude, and it double checked with plug chop. if i had to guess i would say start with a 300 main jet. most people run 32:1 oil mix.
  11. with larger carbs you can loose bottom end power because you essentially loose the velocity from air coming into the motor. not that you cant run the bigger carbs just that it may not be best suited to your riding. i personally wouldnt go with 34/35 's unless i was running a dune ported and or stroked motor and was mainly riding open feilds or dunes. i think a lot of people would be surprised how much power you can get using stock 26mm carbs i tihnk in dyno room ther is one bike with 75hp and running stock carbs and lots of bottom end power and perfect for a all around bike. i am running 28pwk's and i have plenty of topend power for trail riding and the occasional drag race. i also notice when guys run the bigger carbs they have to use large pilot and main jets to make up for the loss of velocity to pull the fuel. with carbs... bigger isnt better. my opinion of course
  12. what carbs? you check floats? did a jet fall out? got plenty of spark?
  13. you feel like a moderator now magz? haha then move it... who's the one with there panties in a wad? hey troy when u gonna post the rest of your pics i know you got more
  14. adam are you gonna be testing it before we ride sat? troy if you have time you can bring it by and we can take a look at the spacing on the shifter, hopefully the forks arent bent and we can grind the welds off the footpet and put some bolts in
  15. like you said if we get them out there with the lights and all its gonna cost monye there is a race the weekend before this i kinda picked this date to stay away from that so we could have free run of the track while we are there and whip up on all the 4strokes .. hey as long as im in front of the other people i dont need no time to tell me i won.. lol
  16. i think it was funny.. haha she runs around with a small flathead screwdriver and pocket full of jets she says stay on the throttle and keep your bows up!!
  17. this was at the sandpits in elizabeth city... there wasnt enough room for you to get into 6th gear with your gearing 252. haha. this vid i bogged off the line pretty bad but it didnt matter. ill be makin it down your way next week or so hopefully.
  18. glad you could make it out troy we had a great time the 700 had an exhaust and a programer and my banshee is trail ported.
  19. this is wher we talked about it, the other thread is the actual date we decided on http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=150310
  20. check your grounds, where the coil mounts to the frame and where the black wire attatches to the coil and one by the voltage regulator near cdi. also double check that your wires arent coroded, the ends screw on so many times you can take them off and cut a small peice off and screw them back on. did you double check the pickup gap and clean the points on the flywheel? if you do need to get another stator find an oem stator if you can, either on here or ebay maybe. also i would find a cdi to swap out from a friend or something to be sure thats not the problem...
  21. i would maybe go up 1 on the main and go from there.... also with those oko carbs i always check the float height, they seem to be far off from the factory. have the same specs as a pwk28. i think its 19mm
  22. hell yeah they got jumps everywhere! i stick to the drag track and the trails most of the time though.
