  1. vernon still has the dyno and he says november 10-11th will be good. im going to call him again a week before to confirm, he says he wants to get another o2 sensor as a spare since we are 2strokes. who is in?
  2. if your running alky arent you more than likely racing/chasing times? i would like to see a dyno run with a bike running domes setup for alky vs std domes. maybe ill try it out.. i am curious to see myself. my 421 cub on alky is only running about 150 psi
  3. Get some domes for alky. You could have lower compression with higher squish velocity and vice versa. Higher velocity would call for higher octane or alky to keep from detonating. Not saying you cant run your current setup on alky but why not get the right setup. I hear setup is key.
  4. how long since the 2nd headgasket. it depends how much coolant is in there. i once had to pull the exhaust off and dump coolant out of it. lol otherwise just running it will eventually burn it all up if there isnt a ton in there. how does it run?
  5. May have to clear the moisture out of the cylinders and pipe. How long did you run it?

  7. I would take the carb off clean it and the pilot jet and check the reeds out while its off.

  11. they have been doin index racing. be sure and look into dunn benson and wallace, they are nearby tracks you may be interested in as well. dunn benson has a race today but it looks like its going to be rained out, otherwise i would be there.. maybe ill see ya at a race sometime.
  12. drags at busco with a 421 i would recomend some 12 extreme sls. im running a 421 on alky drag ported with some 14 stag extreme sls.
  13. i would start with cleaning the carbs, syncing them, checking float heights. while your in there you can see what pilots you have.
  14. I would probonly go with a 20cc and run some higher octane at sealevel.. talk to dave at noss machine. He will hook ya right up
  15. 100%.... nothing more, nothing less. Call a site sponsor and they will set you up with the style of porting that fits.
  16. 21cc domes and +4* timing will wake it up.. but not like a port job...
  17. Well.. welcome to bhq! I would recomend a port job and a set of pipes to compliment instead of carbs. They are one of the last things i would worry about. Look on noss machines website they have a chart to help you figure out what cc will work for your elevation. I would stay around 150psi to stay on pump gas. As for other mods' look into a timming plate to advance the timming around 4*. Let us know how things work out.. have fun
