  4. Did anyone go for thanksgiving? We can try and come up with some dates after the 1st of the year but im thinking late may.
  5. cooling the clutch pack like you said.. most billet baskets have slots for more oil to enter the clutch. other than that maybe a different oil? i have been using atf for a while. also making sure your lockup weight fully grabs the clutch so your not slipping all the way down the track would help. but thats obviouis. lol
  6. paulie when i rode it one rear tire had way more air than the other. fun bike to ride though!!
  7. When im racing my trail bike i feather the clutch all day and with pretty good results. However when on the drag strip its sometimes more about consistant passes so the lockup clutch tunning comes more into play because once its set you pin and go. If your willing to spend time tunning the setup im sure there is something to gain here. I do think though that one bad start with the tuned clutch and you will be back to the traditional moto start...
  8. Are both the rings that far off? If its only 1 i would put it on the bottom and run it. I doubt you will see any performance difference at all.
  9. i just measure the friction plates and look for obvioius damage. if i knew what to ask to get more info i would ask. is this jeapordy? what springs are stiffer? burnett, toomey, or driveline are the lightest springs the stock ones? seems to me the driveline frictions grab the hardest with the least amount of pressure, i think they are made of some cork material? for this reason i have been using oem frictions and plates thus far. would using oem or tusk disks and frictions make it easier to tune for this reason? tusk frictions seem very similar to the oem but i could be wrong.
  10. whats your piston wall clearance if your rings are that far off?

  12. This mod has a grudge against my friend here because he is not the almighty kor. Go for an easy target here or try looking at the big picture. I suspect this same mod is the reason kor will bei the only builder on bf..

  14. Annealing wont work. Get new ones.
  15. I took a dremel and a flapwheel and cleaned up the domes till they fit right
  16. i went from similar jetting as you on stock carbs to 45/155 on my pwk28's with a n68a needle
  17. why haulers over extremes? its a 300 ft track so in my opinion its all about the launch. if your trying to catch someone... good luck
  18. i agree with the slingshot issue, i run one on my cub and its a bit of a pain to change the balls or springs. i need to turn the bike on its side and remove the entire cover to do anything with it. also the unit is pretty heavy with the outer plate being a solid peice of steel, i thought of trying to lighten it but i dont know if it would cause problems or not. anything that spins I am afraid to mess with since it could be catostrophic if it fails in motion. the different weights of balls is a good idea as well but i havent gotten into that fine of tunning. im racing on dirt/sand and hope i dont need to get into that fine of tunning with it. removing or adding 2 at a time seems to be working ok for me i guess. track conditions can change faster than I change my clutch...
  19. post up some pics.. i want it in trade. how much you do you want shaved off the stock head?
  20. I dont think it will matter unless there is a length difference. Im runnin proc's with fatty silencers. I dont think it makes a difference.
