  1. go 0000 Steel wool or else it will scratch. even 0000 scratches but very very finely so it can barely be seen by eye.
  2. I wouldnt even play around trying to get in there to fix a crack. id just pull the motor, hack off that whole mount and get some prefabbed tabs and lay it out and mig it. argon co2 mix is fine.
  3. did you use paint thinner or laquer thinner. there is a difference
  4. If not beveled or done properly it will crack again. needs a new tab imo

  8. your dad is onto something. Sounds like he has a clue. On smaller motors I like 16-17 /41 running 1st to 3rd up hills. might be an option. So uour not shifting every half second and still get that mph up

  15. just watched video. That guy knows what hes doing even tho hes a hillbilly. I can offer to buff your plastics. bring them over with a 12 pack of modelo and ill buff them out!
  16. Dunecat, I almost think 90 % of your problem is yiur doing black vs white. With white you cant see half of the damage done and looks to come out great. You do it to black it shows everything. If you get a real automotive buffer. I can see that working best. I dont care what kind of plastic it is.
