  1. Well thats the bad thing, its still at my builder and he's out of town. I might be a little sceptable if he bored the cyl. or not. may just have put new pistons and rings and rolled with it. 140 compression sounded low to me for race gas. He claimed 180 when it was built but I checked and it was not. I should pick it up and work on it myself, I am fairly mechanically inclined on 2 stroke motors.
  2. This is what my builder said it should be, I know on a stock motor on pump gas should be that color for proper jetting but this is my first performance build to anything like this.

Had a reputable builder in my area build me a 4mil which includes: +4 crank, trued and welded, new weisco pistons, full drag port, 34pj's, cool head with 20cc domes @ 140lbs compression, running 112 vp, wicked intake, timming plate at +4, lock out with r6 clutches. Ran 1 1/2 tanks in bike around the house and shee pulled hard but cut out bad on top end and was fouling plugs (motor was broke in by builder). Brought bike back and my builder took the 160 mains out the carbs and replaced them with 140 mains. Bike ran great and spark plugs had a cardboard color, everything seemed fine. Went to the dunes last sat. and made two drags that morning and motor locked up. The right piston skirt on the intake side broke and wedged between the crank and case. Thank God the bike was just at an idle when it happened. Just wanted some feedback if anyone might know what may have happened or if it has happened to them. Sucks, a few thousand dollars for 2 drags and now another 400.00 to rebuild. Not adding up to me
  4. I just had my motor built by a fairly known builder in my area. He is not a major shop but he is the one to turn to around here. Here is what I have: full drag port, 4mil crank, trued and welded, dual pingle, 34mm pjs with 140 mains, 112 vp fuel @ 40:1, wicked intakes, bored 50 over, timming plate +4, lock up with r6 clutches, cool head with 20cc domes at 140lbs compression, cpi out of frames, brand new wcr trans and tons of other sht that dont matter right now. I ran 1 1\2 tanks of fuel just around my house in about a 2 week time frame and motor pulled hard but cut out bad on top end and would foul plugs like crazy. Brought the bike back to him and he found he had 180 mains in the carbs, so he replaced them with 140's and the bike ran great and the plugs were a cardboard color. Went to the dunes last Sat. and motor locked up after two drag races (third tank of gas). The motor was at an idle when it happend, thank God. Pulled motor down and found the intake piston skirt on the right cyl broke and wedged between the crank and the case. I am not edging to talk sht on this guy, just want to know what happened because he cant tell me and now a few thousand dollars later and 3 tanks of gas I am looking to caugh up another 3-4 hundred dollars again.   6. I PAID 200.00 FOR GEARS, DRUM, 3 FORKS AND FORK SHAFTS. SEEMED FAIR TO ME, AND HE SOUNDED LIKE A REALLY COOL DUDE BUT YOU CAN BET I WILL BE DEALING WITH SOME OF YALL HERE IN THE NEAR FUTURE BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR SPEED.
  7. YEAH I PROBLY SAID THAT WRONG, BUT ANYWAY JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE PRO MOD TRANS. ITS NOT AN OVERRIDE, I WOULD SAY STOCK. I WILL BE INSTALLING THIS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS
  8. HEY YALL. NEW TO BANSHEE HQ AND HAD A FEW Q. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF WHITAKERRACING OUT OF FLA. AND THE MICRO POLISHED PRO MOD TRANS THEY MAKE. I SPOKE WITH THEM TODAY AND THEY SOUNDED LIGIT AND VERY INFORMATIVE. HOPFULLY NO NEG FEEDBACK SINCE I ALREADY PURCHASED THE PRO MOD STOCK TRANS AND SHIFT FORKS, BUT IF THERE IS, LET ME HAVE IT
