  4. Ha, so that's where I saw that!!! Searched this site for a while thinking I was crazy lol guess I'll drink a beer now whew lol
  5. Thanks bro, I'm thinking it ok also, went through the gears for the 8th time and never missed a lick, but I'll still be cautious and take your advice. Thanks to you and radar for the quick reply before I freaked out. as much info and help I've found on here I think its time to repay the favor and buy a yearly subscription here, hopefully others will also and keep this great site (family) together. Thanks for all yalls help.
  6. I think your right, I just went through the gears , the correct way for sure , and it wanted to bind up a hair in 4th (I think it wasn't engaging all the way). I went back to n and ran through them four more times with out an issue as long as I was spinning the shaft while I shifted.
  7. I bought a brand new trans from a member off planet sand that was cut by port magic. The cut is m1 2-5. I installed everything according to my clymer. Motor is now completely together minus the clutch basket, plates etc... I decided to bench test the trans by going through all of the gears by hand one at a time. 1st shifted perfect and spun correct, neutral is there, 2nd and 3rd were hard to get going but figured that's normal on a bench test, they finally popped in. Then I get to 4th and it felt funny, kinda restrictive then loosened up once the shift star finally fell into place but after 1 or 2 revolutions it would just stop. (Like another gear was in its way) 5th did the same thing but with a slight restriction. I'm hoping that I'm feeling the effects of backloading instead of a faulty trans. And this isn't supposed to be a dunnable incase yall ask. I am concerned about the spring on the shaft. Hopefully I installed it correctly according to my manual. Pics on the spring would be greatly appreciated along with any feedback. Thanks in advance fellas
