  1. They arent in any means perfect, they do have nicks, rubs and scratches but if someone wanted a set of pipes to knock around with but still look decent, then here ya go. Thanks for looking.
  2. Buyer had insufficient funds so they're back on the market. Pics to follow.
  3. I mentioned this in my other thread but didn't get a response. So what is so special about port matching cases for a specific top end? for instance, I had a 421 cub built and upon assembly found that the cases were damaged. I started looking for another set and found one already port matched for a cub. But people are telling me not to do it because it was not matched to my setup. I do understand if the sinario was a large bore motor but this is just a 421 cub. Please give me some input on this so I can make my decision either way. Thanks in advance yall
  4. I've been sitting on these for a long time and now need a little extra shee funds. These are unstamped CPI sb sf inframe expansion chambers only, no stingers, unless you want the one T5 stinger I have. These pipes were on my bike when it was stolen a few years back so they do need tlc. The chrome is not too bad but not good either, also needs a bracket welded back on. The pipes were set up for a temp gauge but the 1/8" hole can be plugged. I ran these pipes with the t5 stingers and they performed great. Not sure what to ask so 200.00 is my high price. Make me an offer and in the mean time I will be cleaning them up for pics.
  5. I'm still trying to figure out what to do, fix or replace. To fix it wouldn't you have to deck it on a lathe? I'm also unsure on buying a set of cases that are already port matched for a cub. Some say it has to be matched to your set up and others say there's not much difference between one port match or the other (as far as cases are concerned). I've kinda threw my hands up for a little while and started back working on my house to keep my mind off of her for a bit. I wanted to contact my builder but he's out of town for a while so all opinions welcome. Thanks
  6. Thanks bro, but gotta scratch the a arm setup being that I need new cases now since they won't pass a leak down test. It's only money right lol. I need a sugar mamma lol
  7. Looking for a matching set of cases with no chain wack, hopefully ported to a cub.
  8. Just got my new gasket in from NLP (which fit better than the other gasket I had come with my cub) and applied 1211 gasket maker on the case side. Istalled gasket then cylinder and torque down. Performed leakdown and its still leaking in the same spots but not as bad. Holds 6psi for 1.5 min. I know that is unacceptable, so off to buy a set of cases that hopefully are port matched for a cub. Good luck to me fellas!!!!!!!
  9. I know this should be asked in the drag forum but I'm not sure what a ARM set up to go with. (+2 forward or -1 or 2 in etc...) I guess what I'm asking is what do most stock frame draggers use?
  10. I am starting to look for used, I just dont want to buy someone else"s problem. Keeping my eye out for a few partouts and wanted a name brand or two to look for. Thanks cam, Ill do some research on tims (although Ive never heard of them)
  11. What are some dependable and good looking a arms for sand drags that wont break the bank. This will be on stock frame with 13.5 shaws. I did a quick search but didnt find much, so what do yall recommend? Thanks in advance.
  12. Dibs, paypal info if they're for stock.
  13. Oh yeah, I've seen that. Might be a lil messy though.
  14. Whats hylomar spray? But I did put a straight edge on the base and never found the damage until I felt with my finger. Even put a flashlight behind the staight edge.
  15. Right on bro, Im on the right track now. Now if I can keep my home made tester from leaking lol Ill build a better one tomorrow.
  16. Well Mike, wish I would have read this earlier, now that I have fixed that one area another has popped up. But its my own hardheadedness because I didnt finish checking the rest of the motor for other leaks. Now I ordered another gskt and more sealant with No Limit and I will pick up on this again next weekend. uuhhhggg Thanks again for the info fellas and ride for me this weekend!
  17. Thanks yall, thats what Ill do. Sure glad I did a leakdown test because that would have been a mechanical, physical, and mental meltdown.
  18. Heres a better pick. You can see the two parallel dents on the outside edge close to the front stud.
  19. Finally have some time off to finish my build so decided to build a leakdown tester today. Man I would have been screwed if I didnt. It wouldnt hold 6psi for 2 seconds. I could hear the air escaping from the bottom of the right hand cylinder. Pulled her apart to check my gasket and this is what I found... Its two very small indentions on the case where the cylinders mate. Would it be a good idea to put a thin layer of rtv over the slightly damaged area? Or am I sol and need to search for some new cases.
  20. Paddles still up for sale, may consider trades on drag axle, drag arms or (bling) + or - value
