  1. Yes, 89 and newer are all the same.
  2. Let's clear this up. Not all years of OEM swingarms are the same. 87-88 had the carrier mounted outside the swingarm ears with washers welded on the outside of the upper swingarm ears. 89 and newer had the carrier mounted inside the swingarm with washers welded to the inside of the upper swingarm ears. The inside dimension between the ears on the 87-88 is 4 3/4". Outside dimension to the outside of the washers is 5 1/2". If someone wants to post dimensions for a newer swingarm, that would be great. Also, 89 and newer had the rear ends of the rectangle tube flattened out. Don't know if that's necessary for sprocket and brake hub clearance. 1st pic is 87-88. 2nd pic is 89 and newer.
  3. Well...??? We wanna see a pic of the smoked out house.
  4. Make sure you have the clips that the 2 side ones screw into on the tank cover plastic. You know, the day after the screws from Finch arrive in the mail, you'll look down on the bench and your original screws will be laying right there in the "safe place" where you put them, or you will find them in your jeans pocket when doing laundry.
  5. Just beware of the knockoff Keihins. Some people have had problems with them. Some people say they work great. They do take a different main jet. The 1st clue of a knockoff is the steel splined looking idle speed screw like pictured here. The genuine Keihins have a black plastic speed screw. Of coarse it's always possible that someone could have changed that.
  6. You might call up Durablue and see if they can give you a positive answer on if it's one of their axles. It's possible that the spacing might be different for different brands of axles. http://www.durablue.com/prod_display/posi_-_lock_nuts/14/0.php.htm
  7. Durablue is one brand. Don't know what other brands use a similiar setup. You really need to find out what brand the axle is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DURABLUE-POSI-LOCK-AXLE-NUT-ELIM-BANSHEE-BLASTER-RAPTOR-/390422474916?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae6fe30a4&vxp=mtr
  8. Is that all you got? I hope you got it cheap. There's supposed to be a machined ring and a snap ring on the brake side. It requires a 2 piece nut and snap ring on the sprocket side. The 2 piece nut is about $60.
  9. Move the clutch lever to the right side. It is possible to have the clutch, brake, and thumb throttle on the right. I've seen it done. With a little bit of work, you could probably move the thumb throttle to the left. If you want the front brake on the left, you could probably use a hydraulic clutch master for the front brake. You might also think about a dunable override.
  10. The stock pipes are worth $1.85 for scrap. If the wheels have good knobby's, they're worth $100. If not, they're worth $6 for scrap.
  11. They look better than the hush kit though. http://www.roguemotorsportz.com/i1666/Toomey-Hush-Kit-with-Spark-Arrestor-30-Yamaha-Banshee-350.aspx
  12. Auto parts stores have rubber "vacuum caps" in all sizes. Throw a small zip tie on it for extra insurance that it won't fall off.
  13. Did you do a leakdown test?
  14. Are you talking about this brass tube? I think that's for an autolube pump line. If you have it and don't cap it, you'll have a severe air leak.
  15. Agreed, it's a little too much money, but everything in that part of the country for $2500 is junk.Check out this moron. http://albanyga.craigslist.org/mcy/3569200370.html
  16. Did you ever check out this one that I posted the link to? It's still on CL. http://spacecoast.craigslist.org/cto/3575786499.html
  17. LMAO The grab bar is not a wheelie bar. X2 on checking tire pressure.
  18. Welcome to the addiction. I can understand your anticipation to jump on it and ride, but there's a few things you need to consider. If it's had that rough of a life, there's an excellent chance that the crank needs help. Even if the crank is good, you don't know if it's been trued and welded without splitting the cases. If the crank lets go, it will destroy your fresh topend. No matter what path you take, DO A LEAKDOWN TEST, after the motor is back together. Clean the carbs and check to see what jets are in there. Put a wrench on every single nut and bolt on the bike. You don't want a suspension bolt falling out when you're in 6th gear pinned.
  19. Moped filters. If you want the beast to breathe, get some manly filters. 5" or 6".
  20. Very nice condition CPI silencers and stingers. $140 shipped to the 48 states, including paypal fee.
