  1. Be sure to notice on the seals that the brake disc side is 1mm bigger ID than the sprocket side.

Yep, you pour methanol on the grass in the sidewalk crack all the way down the street. Light it on 1 end and count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi... til the fire gets to the other end. The grass gives the flame color so you can see it.
  3. X 2 on the carb slides. If the left slide is in the right carb and vice versa, it will run like crap. When you look in the back of the carbs, the cutaway on the bottom of the slides is supposed to be towards the filters.

Wrong. I can tell you from experience, burning grass out of the cracks in the sidewalk with methanol, that it burns slower than gas. That's also why it makes more power. You get a long steady push on the top of the piston, instead of a quick bang and it's all over.
  5. Alright, who's gonna take out an equity line of credit on their house? No matter how you do it, that's gonna be at least a $10K motor. Maybe Keith bought it. LOL.
  6. A Blaster shock is a couple inches longer and the eyes are wider. No way it's gonna work.
  7. Are you anywhere near Hamilton? I found this. http://grandrapids.en.craigslist.org/mcy/3789777143.html Appears to be the old style Sparkys. Here's a few pics I found of old and new style.
  8. 350cc + .060" over X 2 cylinders = 470cc LOL
  9. Good job! Glad you found the problem and thanks for letting us know what it was.
  10. You must have missed this part. "All prices are shipped prices but buyer pays fees or gifts"
  11. So, turn off the auto correct. Everybody hates it. Few people bother to turn it off.
  12. There are 4 places it can leak on the left side. In order of most likely 1st, they are shift shaft seal, countershaft seal(behind sprocket), plastic neutral switch cover, and finally the 2 pressed in plugs about 3/8" in diameter that plug the shift fork shaft holes. If the plastic neutral switch cover is cracked, buy a billet cover from Mattoon.
  13. Yep, take a small pic or really small sharpened screwdriver and tap it into the face of the seal from the side and then just pry it out. Be careful not to scar the shaft or the case. They come out really easy. About $5 at your local Yamaha dealer. 93102-12321-00
  14. The water pump impeller is in the clutch cover. The clutch cover has to be off to change the impeller, gear, bearing, or seal.
  15. So, you mean the water pump gasket? Noooooooo on the harmonic balancer puller. It will destroy the flywheel. You need an ATV/motorcycle puller.
  16. You have to pound the water pump bearing out to get the seal out, so I would replace the bearing. You also need a clutch cover gasket and a water tube O ring. You should also replace the shift shaft seal on the left side as long as you're in there. They are prone to leaking. A few other items every Banshee owner should have. Clymer manual, flywheel puller, carb sync tool, and build yourself a leakdown tester.
  17. People probably want to know if they're chrome or powder coated.
  18. ↑ He would know. He had a triple.
  19. This is way out of my league, but I bet more like 7K to 9K.
  20. That's not a bad deal, considering what Cascade silencers sell for new and the fact that they very rarely come up for sale used, and they're within driving distance for you. Buy them, keep the best stuff, and sell the rest with your shearer stingers and silencers.
  21. Judging from the OP's previous post history, he's never coming back to this thread.
  22. The best $10 you can spend on a Banshee. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Banshee-Clutch-Cover-Vent-Block-off-Plate-/110747369144?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c90ebeb8&vxp=mtr
  23. I have one and I like it a lot. I use it 80% thumb and 20% twist. It could be better, but it does work good. The thumb travel is a little slower than I like. In other words, from idle to wide open, you have to push it too far. The twist is very fast. The worst problem is that you can't pull the pin to unlock the twist while riding. I plan to fabricate a lever that you can flip with your index finger.
  24. Well, sort of... The major components are there. Let the bidding frenzy begin. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Banshee-Motor-Triple-Engine-Parts-Mattoon-Crank-Works-Shearer-Pipes-Cheetah-/161035339340?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item257e74464c&vxp=mtr
