  1. Try this one. http://directdrivebillet.tripod.com/index.html
  2. Could be running the bowls dry. Check the petcock screens.
  3. This drag bike is bitchin. As cheap as it is, it's got to be fake. It's listed on several Ca craigslist sites and now even up in Oregon. Somebody in So Cal. should check it out, in case it's real. http://bend.craigslist.org/mcy/3936927478.html http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/mcy/3936908230.html
  4. Do you want me to come over and do a compression test for you?
  5. Now we're talking. And drive off the center of the crank like a TZ750.
  6. If you need them for a YFZ, that's fine. If you need want them for a Banshee, that's dumb.
  7. With port work and no lid, you have increased airflow. You need more fuel to go along with it. Hopefully you did a leakdown test after you built it. Don't ride it anymore without doing a leakdown test and putting in bigger main jets.
  8. Maybe that's your problem. Gas dissolves RTV. Use Threebond 1211 or Yamahabond.
  9. I still think it developed an air leak, but by not doing a leakdown test before disassembly, your chances of finding it are slim. One possibility that will be obvious on teardown, is if the stator side crank bearing is going to pieces and destroyed the seal.
  10. At the top of this pic you can see the white plastic vent under the steel tube for the motor mount. Is that what you're missing? If that's where the oil is coming out... It shouldn't be, while just kicking it over. Now if you stand it up on the grab bar, then, yeah, oil will pour out if you don't have the proper vent hose attached.
  11. Yuh thenk mebe 45 piluts mite indercate thut sumthins weyrd?
  12. WTF??? There is no "overflow". There is a white plastic trans vent at the top rear of the case. It is located directly below the steel tube for the rear motor mount. Even if that's missing, the only time trans oil should come out is if you tip the bike completely vertical onto the grab bar. There is no bolt for that vent. The only bolts on top of the case are the case bolts that each have a number beside them, and the bolt that holds the clutch cable bracket down. There are no other bolts. If one of those are missing, there is no way trans oil should be coming out the hole while kicking. If oil is coming out the trans vent while kicking, you may have a leaking crank seal. You better do a leakdown test before you go much farther.
  13. Look under the left front of the gas tank and see if there's a black plastic box with 3 wires. That's the TORS box. Someone could have put the 35mm carbs on it and not removed the box. Not likely someone could be that stupid, but best to check. For the ignition switch wires, you you need to make sure the red with a black stripe wire is connected to the black very well. The best way is solder and heat shrink. There have been many people on here that have chased a no spark problem, replaced a bunch of parts and finally discovered the key switch wires were not making good connection.
  14. Don't forget to put the spacer in when you install the new bearings and seals. When the new bearings are properly in place, the spacer should be snug against the bearings. If the spacer flops around in there, the bearings aren't seated all the way and will go bad in a very short time, if you just crank down the nut and ride it.
  15. You really need to do a leakdown test to make sure you don't have an air leak at the reed gaskets.
  16. So, what kind of 35mm carb do you have? If it's a Keihin PWK, and NOT an Air Striker, you already have 1 of the best carbs for your 4mil. Buy another one like it, some UPP or billet intakes, and 1 more air filter and you're all set. Oh and a cable. I saw your other post about the carbs. Those filters are kind of small.
  17. Listen dumb ass, we told you not to run it till you do a leakdown test. If you choose to ignore that and run it WFO in 6th to do a plug chop and blow it up, don't cry the blues around here. This thread is just about word for word like the Kozyshack thread except he rebuilt the top end and then blew it up.
  18. Were you dropped on your head as a child? You have a boost bottle, too big of mains for it to even run, and you can't seem to get it through your thick skull that you probably have cracked intake boots. When it seizes at the end of your plug chop run, be sure to post pics of the carnage. We like carnage pics.
  19. Sounds like a good excuse to step up to some cool aftermarket pegs. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151536&pid=1309430&st=0top
  20. Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. Most of them say PWK on them. Some of them even say Keihin on them. Some people have good luck with the knockoffs. Some have problems. A friend of mine has 30mm knockoffs. The needles had no markings on them. We put JJH Keihin needles in them and it runs great.
