  1. Let me guess, Ricky Stator or RM stator? Aftermarket stators and flywheels are junk.
  2. Nice score on the parts bike. Just so you know, the 87-89 hubs, rotors, spindles, and calipers are different than 90 and newer.
  3. http://www.motionpro.com/#/motorcycle/partno/65-0297/ http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_skipfnorm=1&redirect=mobile&_nkw=%2265-0297%22&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=200&_fpos=&_fsct=&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=200
  4. Minky would sell the top half on ebay without giving it a second thought.
  5. 1st thing I throw in the scrap pile on any Banshee I buy. Like you mentioned, lighter and looks better.
  6. This is what I would consider a good deal. I've gotten better deals though. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/sno/4297905948.html
  7. I don't know anything about what you have, but I found this based on the part#. http://shop.pbisprockets.com/product.sc?productId=91&categoryId=-1
  8. Oh boy! Head gasket with a cool head. FTMFW.
  9. He has a "mechanic" friend. I'm done. "Had a mechanic come by my garage. I was lucky only need a top end. Also told me I did a good job when I took it apart ha ha."
  10. I wouldn't buy it. Sounds like a money pit. In about 2 weeks you will be tired of the performance of a bone stock bike and be faced with the challenge of spending thousands on your cheap Banshee. I only buy bikes that have significantly more value in aftermarket parts than the selling price of the bike. However, if you only have $1200 to spend, buy it now and pay more later.
  11. Then YOU need to figure out what's holding the pressure plate away from the discs. It's not rocket science. The springs apply pressure on the pressure plate and it clamps the discs. When you pull the clutch lever, you push the pressure plate away from the discs.
  12. It's VERY common for the shift shaft seal to leak. Check that out.The next likely leaks are the neutral switch cover(That's what it's called even though there's no neutral switch), and the aluminum plugs that plug the shift fork shaft holes.
  13. For the 14th time, did you line up the fucking arrow? If the balls not welded, then either the pressure plate arrow is not lined up or you don't know how to adjust the clutch. Those are the only possibilities.
  14. Since you don't own a Clymer manual, it's going to take a lot more effort on your part to diagnose the problem. We can only point you in the general direction. From there, you have to figure it out. Something is holding the pressure plate away from the clutch discs. Either you didn't line up the arrow on the pressure plate, or the clutch is adjusted wrong, or the clutch ball is welded. With the pressure plate off, tip the bike to the right. The ball and pushrod should fall out onto the floor. (Warning: Make sure your clutch plates or basket don't hit the floor)If the ball and rod don't hit the floor, try removing them with a small magnet. If they still won't come out, it's time to split the cases. Here' is what it looks like when the ball is welded to both the rod and the adjuster screw. If it's only welded to the pushrod, it may be welded to the inside of the tranny shaft.
  15. Since I'm sure you didn't, I would do a leakdown test BEFORE you tear it apart.
  16. Roundhouse is MUCH easier to adjust the chain.
  17. Huh? There is no "another washer" by the nut. The big thick washers go on BEFORE the basket and AFTER the basket. Then the inner hub goes on, then the bendover washer, then the nut. As mentioned above, make sure 1 of the arrows on the pressure plate lines up with the single dot on the INNER hub.
  18. Replace the bearings in the stock carrier or spend some bucks on a roundhouse swingarm and carrier. It's dumb to spend money on a stock style aftermarket carrier.
  19. There you go. Now aren't you glad you did a leakdown test before you burned down the motor? Now get rid of the boost bottle before you crack the intakes and burn down the motor.
  20. The OP makes it very clear in the 1st post, where he got it from. Duh!

Don't they have Yamaha dealers in Ontario? Seems like either they would have it in stock or could get it quickly without charging shipping.
  22. Nope. Case saver goes on after that part.
  23. Isn't NYUK practically your neighbor? He's got tons of that stuff.
