  1. Also check your trans oil to see if it's overfull and milky looking. If it is, the waterpump seal is leaking.

    digatron EGT

Recording ability is a necessity. Watching the EGT numbers while you're trying to hang on, shift gears, watch where you're going, keep it straight, and be ready to shut it down at the end, is VERY difficult. It's not like in a car or kart where the EGT can be somewhere near your line of sight. By the time you look down at the bar mounted EGT, and look back up where you're headed, you can be in a world of hurt.
  3. You seriously can't figure this out? There is no such thing as a stroker piston. Only a long rod piston which has a 5mm pin offset. Do the math and calculate how far below the deck the piston will be. Hint: 3mm So compression ratio will suck baaaaaaaad. At BDC the piston will be 7mm below the ports Still think this is a logical build?
  4. WOW! That's all I can think of for a build this dumb.
  5. ^^^^ Exactly! This is the kind of deal you want to look for. This bike was for sale near me for $2500. Ported motor, Pro Circuit pipes, cool head, Works shocks, aftermarket chrome A arms, chrome roundhouse swingarm, paddles, mohawks, wheels, crome V bars, etc., etc.

  7. Buy a black rear fender, get rid of the yellow shocks and then powder coat the frame and swingarm some kind of cool, bright color that's not green.
  8. To make that a decent riding bike, you're gonna have $5,000 invested before you know it. Buy someone else's money pit for $.50 on the $1.00
  9. And figure out the rod length. Stock rods don't have an "engravement".
  10. Leaking waterpump seal or you lost the plastic vent at the back of the cases and you filled the trans with water when you washed it.
  11. Well, here it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Yamaha-Banshee-350-RACING-2-STROKE-VERY-FAST-NO-RESERVE-FREE-SHIPPING-/291105645757?item=291105645757&forcerrptr=true&pt=ATVs&hash=item43c73fa4bd&nma=true&si=OsPT0Sk9Wl2Jws6V%252FAWHFwZCEYk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 The people selling it are a bunch of dumb shits. "THIS FOUR WHEELER CAN EASILY GO 100 MILES AN HOUR." Nope "IT HAS A DURABLUE AXLE" Nope At $3100 plus shipping, yeah, you got fucked. However, when you bid, you entered into a legally binding contract. What you choose to do from here is your choice.
  12. No window in the Banshee clutch cover. You're on the wrong forum.
  13. Since it has threads for an axle nut, it's definitely not G Force or recent Durablue. Looks like a very old Durablue to me. Why do you need to know?
  14. Sounds like no matter what advice is given here, you're going to just throw the title in the drawer and forget about it. That's how bikes end up being sold without a title. If the bikes registered in your name, you can file for a lost title. If you don't bother registering it in your name and you lose the title there's nothing you can do.
  15. I don't know which harness and CDI you were looking at. It just sounded like one of his auctions. Trace the wire colors according to the schematic. Unplug the CDI. Check your stator, coil, kill switch, and key switch from there. If that is all in spec, or just very slightly higher than spec, then check stator to ground and so forth to make sure you don't have a bare shorted wire somewhere. If everything checks out, borrow a CDI or try your CDI on someone else's bike.
  16. DON'T BUY FROM MINKIA38!! He's a crook. Unplug the CDI and do your resistance checks at the CDI box connector. Make sure none of the wires read continuity to ground that aren't supposed to be.
  17. Post your location. Maybe someone on here is near you and can loan you a CDI to try.
  18. The stock headlights have high and low beam. The trailtechs only have a single filament. Wire the trailtechs to the black and green wires. Polarity doesn't matter. Headlights will be on in the low position and off in the off and high positions.
  19. Easier to get it here. Price is $4 more, but I think shipping is cheaper than going through their website. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMI-Products-Yamaha-ATV-Greaseable-Steering-Stem-Mount-/221372479066?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item338ad3f65a&vxp=mtr
  20. Thanks for getting back to us. You mentioned that the crank gear was the only fatality. The crank gear had nothing to do with the broken piston. However, here is my concern. What about the crank? All those broken pieces of piston are in the crank bearings.
  21. Yes! The JJ&A Keihin idle screws are very nice. I put them in all my Keihins.
  22. Here's all the part numbers. https://www.bansheedepot.com/products.asp?cat=78
  23. So, who's gonna pull the trigger on this bad boy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Banshee-Cougar-Cases-Crankshaft-4-Cylinder-Head-Shells-Exhaust-Flanges-Drag-/131144480645?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e88d1f785&vxp=mtr
