Yeah it doesn't make since that my cable won't work. Maybe I got some odd bay ebay cable or something. Maybe round slides require more travel then flat slides? I just ordered a motion pro tors cable. I gottah get this thing in the dirt mang!

I store mine on 2x4's in the garage.Metal containers are best as long as they don't have metal lids that notoriously don't seal.

I think I've found a solution without spending more $ but no doubt I would get clowned for it. What is your recommendation for a replacement cable? Thanks for chiming in BTW sir.

This is what the current crop of 4 stroke are doing. It's a 787 Rappy. He runs mid 3's.

I'm running a tors eliminator cable and it won't let my 32mm Mikuni carbs bottom out. There is plenty of slack at the top of the cable but it looks like the section of cable that is split in 2 is too short? What's my problem?

You scared me and I'm glad you did. I just so happen to be in the process of adding bigger carbs to my combo. My new Mikuni VM32mm carbs would not go through the full travel. They either wouldn't open all the way or wouldn't bottom out. I ended up deleting the loc nut on the carb cabs and used loctite there instead. This gave me full travel. There is also another loc nut on the handlebars just before the thumber. There is also a throttle stop inside the box that could be ground down for another few MM's of travel. I don't see a reason why the 400ex thumber couldn't be used with up to a 35mm carb- 39's might be a stretch. Here's a pic of the stop and upper loc nut that could be deleted for more travel.

I can't say those colors AREN'T sweet. That's a dream quad.

I run a Honda 400ex thumb throttle. It's proven to be a better design with a light feel over the stocker.

The bike would hardly run with a pluged pilot. Why didn't you stop riding it at that point?

I run a PEP EZ pull lever. It lives up to it's name. I run all HD springs with it too.

^ Words of wisdom. I've ran as lil as 90 psi in my YZ400. It ran fine like that too. It was 27 years into a standard bore but I bought it in 07' though. I ran 136psi on my 10mil for the first year and it ran pretty damn good. I was hoping to see some crazy guy running 250+ one here not that I would but I was interested in the ride report.

Damn that a good amount. How did it run like that? Were you on race gas or alky?

This thread is for no other reason then curiousity. I know around 200 pounds then your basically fighting yourself. Whats the max you have seen or better yet the max you have ridden?
